As for the stretching I play both ways... My AVR pulls the image in a way the it doesn't look bad at all. It depends on the content though. I will play my games in whatever manner I feel though. No need for the elitist bullshit here.. The controller what already modded.. I just hooked it up for the picture.. There was another controller included that doesn't have the lights... Honestly though the lights don't bother me... They aren't as bright as they look. My TV is 65 inches so it fills the room with so much light that the buttons aren't even noticeable when not looking straight down.

It don't look bad 16:9 tho. Yes some games can look really bad in it but its all really based off the TV. I run some of my retro games on 16:9 and they look fine. Then again I have my retro games hooked up to a sony brova(I think tis the name) and i have no input lag what so ever.

You don't understand. Stretching something square to a rectangle looks bad, no matter how you slice it. Characters in the game become fat looking and some scrolling effects break. You just don't do it.

Not always.. It depends on the method of stretching if it breaks scrolling effects. With something like Magician Lord where there is a character on screen I usually put it in 4x3 though.

Odd back home on my tv, out of town seeing family right now, I run my gens(model 1) in 16:9 and nothing looks fat and the scrolling is all there as well. Again it maybe all based on the TV people own, as well as the size of it.

Total Recall and Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition

Just like Brave and Finding Nemo, I got a ton of audio dropouts in Total Recall because of the Dolby TrueHD soundtrack. I had to set my player to output muti-channel LPCM to fix the problem, though the sound lacked the punch when bitstreaming it to the receiver. Just a warning for those with older HDMI receivers without networking features who plan on purchasing any of the these titles.

Finding Nemo sounded fine to me, though I swear it was in DTSHDMA like all Disney titles.

Nemo's definitely TrueHD. Joe, is your AV receiver able to connect to the internet to receive firmware updates? Also, do you remember when you last updated it?

No, the firmware cannot be updated. I wonder why Disney would use True HD? It's a useless format and pretty much EVERYONE has switched to DTSHDMA.

Was at a used CD store that also sells video games. I saw a stack of SNES cartridges behind the counter that hadn't been priced yet, so I asked if I could look at them (hoping in vain to finally find a copy of Mega Man X).

I ended up picking up the following titles:
