Here's the PAL SMS II I picked up a few days ago on eBay:

Since I can't use PAL RF here, I promptly modded it to run at 60 Hz and added this:

I eventually plan to convert this into an actual NTSC system and add an S-video jack in place of the RF modulator (which I've already removed). It was actually rather fun modding it for RGB and if anyone's interested in having their SMS II modded, let me know!
Are NTSC systems rare ,that you have to import the PAl one. Here in europe they are common as hell. Hell I'm even gonna say you are more likely to find sms games and systems on a fleamarktet then NES stuff
Yes NTSC SMS 2 consoles are damn rare in the USA... they were released around 1990-ish when the SMS was on it's way out. I've only ever seen one in my entire life in person.
I just bought House of the Dead Saturn, and items to make a HTPC. Last big name purchases for a while for me... trying to pay my car off and pay extra and I have too much damn stuff untouched.
How can you identify a real NTSC SMS II, that hasn't just been converted from PAL?
That reset button looks awfully Neo-Geoish, especially the tall back end.
A local game store has a Master System II, I wonder if it's a real NTSC system.
Light gray top huh? That SMS II I saw was probably NTSC then. It looked quite a bit different compared to yours.
The SMS II is probably the ugliest console ever made. They don't get much worse than that.
Goodwill:

Blue Toys R Us Game Boy Advance with Namco Museum - $7.50
1987 Decepticon Terrorcon "Hun-Gurr" - $1.50
Dimple Records:

What model is that GBA SP? AGS-001 or 101?
That blue TRU GBA reminds me of that red GBA I had years ago. I think there's a Target version, but I remember Zellers carrying a red system too, bundled with Mario Kart: Super Circuit.
It's just the 001. I'm so used to the 101, I never realized how shite the screen was on the original SP model.
Still, for $4? I'll deal with it. Besides, it looks great next to that SP charger I picked up at Goodwill for $1 a couple months back.
001s are okay, but the 101 is better, yes. The front light in the 001 is useful for giving the Neo Geo Pocket (Color) and Game Boy Color lighting though.
Oh man I love that SMS II!
I just picked up a compact flash setup for the X68000 (powermonster SCSI to CF adapter + X68000 SCSI cable + 2GB CF).
NO MORE WRITING 5.25 FLOPPY DISKS!!
