More Popful Mail madness! This is a Falcom desk calendar from 1994 where each month has a different photo on it from some Falcom property. The composition for it looks pretty similar to what was included in the Falcom Special Box '94 audio collection: Ys, Xanadu, LoH and so on. A neat little find, I'm not if it was given out as a promotional item or what, there's no barcode on it that I could see.

I had picked up an Atari Lynx game and the manager started talking about how he and some buds were playing Atari 2600 games and had a blast. I returned to the store today and the manager wasn't there. There was a cute girl working there, and I asked her about the C64 I'd talked to the manager about a couple of weeks ago. I was quite shocked when I found out that they only wanted $99 for the setup, when an unboxed 64c usually sells for about $100 by itself.
The box is a little beat up, but every example of this that I've seen on the internet has been slightly beat up as well.

The boxes for the 64c and the 1541-II are in pretty good shape. The computer and disk drive look like they've had very light use, which is something I can't say for my current working C64 that has turned brown. The manuals and games are missing, but I already have another boxed 64c with manuals. The original joystick was beat to hell, so the girl dug through a drawer and gave me the exact same joystick in great condition.

Honestly, Nintendo should just start doing a Produce on Demand model for these kind of things just to stop scalpers in their tracks. Basically open up a preorder window, with no limit on preorder numbers. Then make the promise that as long as you order and pay in full within that window, you're guaranteed to get one. You may not get it on release, but you will get one. Put a limit on the amount that a single person can order and that would pretty much put a stop to scalpers.Quote:

It wasn't a steal at 20 bucks, but I'm struggling to find it cheaper here in the states. Seller opened up the cart and took pictures to make a point that it was legit.
Also, while not a video game, but certainly Sega, I ordered a few Sonic comics from Archie Comics online shop this week. Since they're canceling the series, the sales are ridiculous, and now I can reread a very camp story arc from my youth.

And finally an AC adapter for the Sega Master System, 3025, which is worth mentioning because I got it at Goodwill. The salvage stores around here always seem to have Sega wires and controllers. In fact, because of how I find it, it's the find I'm most proud of.
