I could get from Berlin to Nottingham East Midlands Airport for about 25 Euros, so the only problem would be getting to Berlin first ;)

If the power crazy mods didn't think this topic beneath them, one of them would probably warn you about double posting and advise you use the "edit" button :p
Maybe you should look to get from Abeerdeen to Nottingham via Dublin or Amsterdam as external flights are always cheaper than internal ones. It might take a little bit more time, but you'll probably be able to find some really cheap deals.
We shall bring some juice, although anything other than coffee (one of the oldest and nobel tournament traditions) is officially frowned upon.
ill look into getting a flight from another direction. I cant belive that this isnt like the top topic on this message boards! Crazy like
Really too bad; really no cheap flights to be found from Frankfurt, I tried several websites. And even if, I´d have to pay for a place to rest my royal head at night too. So, definately no chance for me this year.
We could speak to the owners of Wollaton Hall, which is about 5 minutes away. I'm sure they would be prepared to offer the Kaiser of Germany this humble abode while he resides in the U.K. ;)

wishful thinking :) think am gonna go grab myself a room at the Travellodge for £19 a night, its only £9 in June! By the way how far away is the hall from the travel lodge? Roughly how many miles and also the travel lodge to the airport? Thanks
I am proud to announce that I will be putting a Team Germany together for the tournament!
A core team of two people is already standing, with a third one still indecisive if he's going to participate as well. So so far, the Team consists only of volunteers.
However, should anyone else decide that he wants to participate in Team Germany as well, he shall feel free to contact me and we will find a way to put some sort of tryout tournament together.
Be it as it may, be it volunteers or tryout winners, I'm positive that we should have a full team together come September!
Team Germany, Kool. Heres hopeing i can get a couple other guys to form team Scotland
The addition of Team Germany is fantastic and I am really excited about how that one develops. :)
We are now looking good for teams from England, Germany, Portugal and Sweden. Hopefully Aberdeenlad1983 will be able to get two more Scottish chaps for his clan. Ireland have yet to confirm their participation in the event, but we live in hope.
I´d pay the 25 Euros for the flight, but someone needs to get me to Berlin first! AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!
We are going to look back into getting the event sponsored after the 18th U.K. Mega Drive Championship. Sadly, at the moment, it seems like a long shot, but it would be wonderful if one day we can cover people's travel expenses - that would expand the scope of the tournaments enourmously, but until then I am afriad everybody needs to pay their own way.
I know, I know; just so you know that it is really not my stingyness that keeps me away atm, but my salary of 1,28 Euro per hour! Next year I will find a way!
u should post this on youtube the previous tournaments u have on dvd. Any hope at all for any other nations maybe competeing?
