I don't think any version of the game has lockout. No clue if the UK version (which is the desirable one) was retimed for PAL. I hope not.
I'm 99% certain the PAL version has no region restriction.Quote:

Neither does the Japanese version. In fact, the Japanese version contains both the Engrish text for all the cutscenes as well as the original Japanese text (don't know about the PAL version having dual language).
For Great Justice!
I played the ROM and I saw no real difference when switching between regions.
What you say!!
(Didn't know the Japanese version had switchable Engrish... switchabengrish.)
You have no chance to survive make your time
HAHAHA.
That robotic laughing always got me.
You know what you posting?
Please post how you switch languages on the JP version.
EU and JP are the same as far as I remember... only thing that matters is the language your MD is set to (if you want engrish, set your MD to English)... no lockout of any kind
The JP version does not look at region at all. Therefore the text shows up as Japanese on all systems, JP, EU or US. The JP version has no Engrish text.
Move Zig!
Which is the lame bit o' graffiti I write on pen displays.
I use the Mega Key converter whenever I play Japanese MD games, and can change the dip switches to set the console to either US, JP or EU. Whenever I set it to US, the Engrish text appears. There are other Japanese MD games with built in English, depending on the region setting of the console.
I think the Magic Key is another similar converter that lets you change the region of the console to play games.
