$1000 for an unboxed Saturn and 48 US games?
The high bidder is either a faker or seriously retarded!
It has SFIII and PDS though. If you take off $300 for those then its 46 games for $700 which might or might not be a good deal (probably the latter).Quote:

If you price the lot out by individual games by my calculations it's worth a little over $1600.
Not much of a Saturn fan myself so to me that's a huge load to drop on a system. You've got to remember some Nintendo collectors are dropping over a grand for one game.
My PAL collection now has 194 games, almost every piece of hardware boxed & 4 different boxed PAL consoles, plus every issue of Sega Saturn Magazine, Total Saturn and Saturn Power and various other bits and bobs and it's still not cost me $1000 yet! (even with SFIII and PDS) probably around the $800-$900 mark.
If it was a complete collection I could understand as there are a fair few people that have the money to throw at an 'Instant Collection' but it's nowhere near.
Yes, I was sad enough to price all this up...
To buy all that seperately off eBay in the US, including postage would cost you no more than $750-$800 with all postage, and that's rounding prices up.
No worries Mick, I'm with you I love a good debate no matter what the topic. I didn't price the whole lot out but here's what I did for a few of the games.
1. Panzer Dragoon Saga (all 4 discs are here- complete copy runs fine and includes the special sleeves) -225
2. Panzer Dragoon II Zwei -40
3. Panzer Dragoon (case is cracked)-20
4. Burning Rangers -60
5. Shining Force III -100
6. Iron Storm by Working Designs (minor manual damage) -40
7. Albert Odyssey: Legend of Eldean by Working Designs (minor manual damage) -50
8. Shining Wisdom by Working Designs -50
9. The Legend of Oasis -50
10. Dark Savior -20
11. Blazing Heroes -20
12. Shining The Holy Ark (case has a slight crack across the front) -50
14. Enemy Zero (all four discs are present - including the special sleeves) -30
15. Nights into Dreams... 50
18. Wing Arms -20
19. Galactic Attack -20
29. Pandemonium! -20
30. Powerslave -40
32. Tempest 2000 -20
33. Virtual On: Cyber Troopers -16
Just those games right there I value at about $941. So that's not even taking the console or Virtua Cop in box w/gun i and a number of games into account.
Tell me where I'm wrong on pricing.
Duke Nukem 3D, Quake, Shining Force lll, Virtua Cop, Powerslave, Panzer Dragon games,
Sonic 3D Blast, Shining the Holy Ark, Virtua Cop 2, and Shining Wisdom seem like the best games on that auction.
You're wrong on NighTs into Dreams and Tempest 2000 for sure. $50 for Xmas NighTs maybe, but not regular Nights. He doesn't have the edition that came with the controller either. Nights shouldn't be more than $15. Every store I go to that has saturn games has at least 3 copies of Nights.Quote:

You can cut most those prices almost in half, Try searching 'completed listings' on eBay.
Panzer complete and mint with sleeves:

I'll concede that their not worth as much as I thought as you guys are Saturn buffs. I still think that the games are worth at least $1,000. That's just my opinion and obviously yours differs.
Bare in mind, there is a HUGE difference between what games are 'worth' and what you should actually look towards paying for them.
Very true.Quote:

True, 48 solid NTSCJ titles would be worth $1000 bucks but this? If I were to throw that kind of money down on the Saturn I'd still rather import.Quote:

Shining Force III is $70 complete at best last I checked.
Legend of Oasis is a mere $30 WITH eBay gouging.
$1000 for a saturn set is only a bargin if they tack on Radiant Silvergun, Battle Garegga, Keio 2, ect.
The selection of titles offered isn't bad, but it's not enough.
you gotta remember though, the only games getting a grand (or more) is the Nintendo World Championships cart and there were less than 100 ever made (I think the number is 86). The other is a VERY limited release of Stadium Events because of a snafu between Bandai and Nintendo where the game later became the bargain bin 49¢ special "World Class Track Meet."Quote:
