As for Wii... It is just not worth it to me. I want a next generation console, not another old 32-bit one we have been dealing with since 1994 or earlier. 360, PS3, and even PCs are all 64-bit now. Nintendo needs to stop selling exercise equipment for senior citizens and remember they are a gaming company. There is no reason Nintendo cannot make two consoles; they seem to do fine with handling a handheld and a console.
Why not expand to your previous fanbase who moved on due to the Wii being simply unappealing? It is not like SEGA where people were forced to change consoles, here Nintendo is just abandoning their fans. I have a DS and it is great, it is a shame they cannot do the same with their home console.
