best arcade games: 1985-1995

Thanks to my discovering/rediscovering of MAME (in other words, I finally figured out how to use it after years of ignoring it), I am interested in classic arcade games. For legality's sake, lets just all pretend I'll go out and buy the PCB of any game I plan to play, so list your favorite arcade games from 1985-1995 so I can check them out.

Check out Gunlock its a very cool shooter game for MAME.

Other than that I still play Donkey Kong and Galaga but I just got killer instinct to work.

Im also on the hunt for Mace:The Dark Age files now but Ive been coming up empty.

Space Harrier!

Every Sega arcade game made within those years (except for that stupid hologram one)! But if I had to pick some games, I would say Out Run, Power Drift, Galaxy Force II, Golden Axe II, and Space Harrier are my favorite all-time arcade games.

In Shenmue II there is a revamped version of Outrun that you can play ingame that has better graphics than the original MAME game. If you have it for Dreamcast I would definitley check it out.

No, it's a fairly close emulation. I don't know what these "better graphics" are supposed to be. The Space Harrier in Shenmue has messed up sound compared to the original as well... though you'd never know it if you hadn't played the original.
