Sorry guys, but I just feel like venting my frustrations with the industry right now. First off, how come that if an awesome anime game (or not so awesome, but decent game), it gets the licence removed and/or gets blood removed? So...it's ok to release Blood or Soldier of Fortune and blow a guy's face off realistically, and yet Kenshiro gets called Aarzak and can't cause people to explode. Another licensing complaint I have is Tatsunoko vs Capcom. It probably won't reach our shores because of licensing. The trouble with the way we license anime is that no one is interested in taking the author's work as a whole (i.e. ADV takes Getter Robo Armageddon, Geneon takes New Getter Robo), and thus we get nasty legal situations. This is why we only got the two Super Robot Wars: Original Generation games (i.e. the lame ones.) This part isn't about gaming, but it sort of ties to my first part. Why is it that some people seem to think that if it is animated, it's for kids? This leads people to censor things so much they become unrecognisable. A lot of people enjoy anime, but the trouble is, licensors always have a few people who don't take it seriously and just make a hack of it (4kids, I'm looking at you). The trouble with anime and anime game handling is that it is not openly marketed. Instead, it is assumed this is a niche market or not marketable at all. This is why JoJo's Bizarre Adventure didn't do so well here and only seemed to become well known from "WRYYY!" It's also why we won't see Hokuto no Ken Online here, either:mad:. Feel free to share your thoughts.
Boy, would I like to pull a WRYYY on those half-assed 4kids creeps. Just listen to the reason why:http://youtube.com/watch?v=xfJuJrqFhXM&feature=related
