Dunno - but it probably has nothing to do with the fact that M$ actually owned up and repairs their systems - even out of warranty. Mine was a half a year out of warranty, M$ fixed it no problem/no hassle and gave a free month of xbox live with the returned system. Sony has yet to do anything like that - from PS1 to PS3. I've read where Sony has rejected system *under* warranty because of dust. Could also be that PS3 hasn't taken a technical edge on physics or graphics on the 360 despite being late to the game by 1 year? We'll probably never know ;)

You should do more research into that one. It's hilarious. Everyone ended up being on Sony's side. Some guy had to empty his vacuum cleaner on his PS3 to get that much dust on it.

Anyway, systems still break after Microsoft sends them back/replaces them. Some people are on their 3rd or 4th (or higher) system. These are the stupid people who aren't even smart enough to be alive.

I sometimes have a "pony tail" though i don't drool on myself. :)

Kind of a disappointing day for Microsoft. The Avatars look lame, and anyone who is exited about Banjo-Kazooie really needs to go back and take a second look at that collectathon. Still, Gears of War 2 looks excellent, and I sure as hell love me some Geometry Wars and Portal.

As for Final Fantasy XIII and Resident Evil 5... I'll be heading to my PS3 for those games. I'm sorry, after three separate "red rings of death" I have no patience with the Xbox 360. It's now reserved for only must-play exclusives.

Hmh....as everybody knows I do prefer the PS3, and seeing that it already sold more than the 360 in Japan and Europe AND is the superior hardware I still believe that it will win the battle; but I must admit that FF XIII on Xbox 360 is about the heaviest blow Sony could get. The only thing that makes it better is that the PS3-version will still be out earlier; but who knows how big the difference will be, considering SE usually takes it´s sweet time translating games.

As for the E3, I´d wish that some unlikely games like Medievil 3, Legaia 3 or Suikoden 6 are announced for PS3...

Nintendo conference!

- Shaun demos his Balance Board-compatible Wii game live for the crowd, busting out some tricks and taking a nasty spill. The game fades out and he starts talking about how the board enhances the gameplay on the Wii.

- Katsuya Eguchi shows off the new Wii version of Animal Crossing, and talks about the town and the game's persistent 24-hour clock. There's a new "city" area with an auction house, as well as a Happy Room Academy where players can see what others are up to, check out a fashion design store, or go to a beauty salon and change their hairstyles (or put on masks to look like Mii's).

He talks about visiting other friends' Animal Crossing towns and playing with them (the screens show four players at once), or just checking out their worlds. The clip ends with the logo for Animal Crossing: CityFolk.

- Now he brings up WiiSpeak, a microphone that sits above the TV set and picks up the chatter of everyone in the room. They show it off with a demo of how it would work in a fishing minigame.

- Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which shows players using the Wii as a lightsaber, possibly with 1:1 motion.

- Rayman Raving Rabbids: TV Party, which will use the Balance Board for a skysurfing minigame, among other things.

- Call of Duty: World at War, which will have co-op play.

- Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades for DS

- Spore Creatures for DS

- Pokemon Rangers: Shadows of Almia for DS

- Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for DS

- Wii Remote precision add-on. Reggie says Wii MotionPlus makes the experience more precise and more intense, and talks about the need for outstanding software to live up to its technological promises. Wii Sports Resort is one such game.

- Wii Sports Resort

- Miyamoto greets the crowd and introduces Wii Music. Speaking through a translator, he said it was one of the games designed alongside Wii Sports, Wii Fit, and Wii Play. If you want to appeal to everyone regardless of age or gender, he said music is a must.

Wii Music was designed instead to allow everyone to experience the joy of performing music. There's no need to closely follow notes or rhythm guides; just hold the controller like you would a real instrument and the game plays notes to match the song. Wii Music will include more than 50 instruments, including the piano and violin. Up to four players can play simultaneously, and the in-game bands are limited to six instruments. They demo it with a xylophone, conga drums, cowbell, horns, and guitar.

Imo, the Nintendo conference blew big time. Animal Crossing is the only thing that interests me, and I'm not buying a separate microphone attachment for it.

Didn't Sony shit on everyone with faulty PS1 and PS2 hardware? :p

I moved to SMS, TG-16, Turbo-CD, Sega-CD, 32X, Saturn and Dreamcast but for some reason the games never followed me. :?

Wow... Nintendo's conference was terrible. Absolutely no hardcore first-party games announced for the Wii. Even Wii Sports Resort doesn't look interesting beyond the MotionPlus accessory it's packaged with.

Where was Kid Icarus? Where was Zelda? Where was F-Zero? Where was the storage solution? Where was a better online experience? They announced a microphone attachment, yet didn't say a thing about it being utilized in online games.

I was REALLY disappointed with Microsoft's conference, but it was leagues better than Nintendo's. Maybe Sony can pull something off.

Who cares about this crap, when is Sega announcing the Dreamcast 2?

I said the game-buying public, not just you. You must keep in mind that most people are retarded. More people must cut their losses and make the switch or just not get the shitty system in the first place.

I still don't know anyone personally who's had any legitimate problems with their 360's, of 20+ people/systems. But everyone I know who owned a non-PSOne PS1 had their's break down (or at least only work upside down).

I believe that there have been real hardware problems with the 360, but up until it came along, Sony's systems were known for crapping out. I don't think that one bad can overrule others, but this wouldn't be the first time that people have stuck with a console known for hardware problems simply because it had all the games.

I'd still rather buy multiple Genesis systems to play it's games than stick with a fault-proof Jaguar.

That's my point, since the games aren't going anywhere, the 360 is still more attractive than the PS3. In the end a console is only as good as it's games.

It may be disappointing for the hardcore players, but their conference wasn't terrible from a business stand point. Even if they didn't announce the motionplus-gizmo or microphone-doohicky, they're still going to remain number one for likely the rest of this generation.

Wii Sports Resort might not be interesting to you, but Wii Play is the second best selling Wii game right behind Wii Sports and will definitely sell better than a new F-Zero and Kid Icarus combined.

After watching all of the E3 press confrences I have to say Microsoft won the best E3 08 this year while Sony and Nintendo crunch numbers and come out dry.
