Just read an amusing preview of Sonic Unleashed in NRevolution (not a magazine I buy generally) the team got to go to japan and see Sonic Team preview the game to them it was all really positive up until the last couple of paragraphs.

"If there's one thing that scares us most about Sonuc Unleashed's story it's the extra secret element that Sonic Team mentioned to us but wouldn't give any details about. If we were betting men we'd wager that this is the inclusion of Sonic's 'werehog' alter-ega, as seen in the early promotional art for the game that Sega seems to want to pretend was never made."

I hope it turns out good the stuff I've read in the preview thus far sounds excellent.

Sonic should have a gun, and use it to shoot all of the characters that have been filling out the series since 1999. Adding new characters to something doesn't automatically make it fresher/better. I mean shit is shit. If I put a little salt & pepper onto shit, is it really going to be any better?

But I disagree about sonic having a machine gun. He needs one of these:

Since it is a wheel lock pistol, it is outdated and therefor would adhere to the anti-technology stance of sonic. That and I fucking love wheel locks, most awesome piece of technology since the Genesis. Period.

If Sonic is going to use *ANY* weapon to off all those pointless post-1999 pals, it needs to be "Old Painless"

They should just make games that make sense with these gimmicks. For example, Golden Axe.

Instead they think Sonic needs it to stay fresh when really what the fans want is an old style game. Not sure why they think it is stale.
