Next-Gen was under the Imagine Publishing Umbrella that currently publishes Games and Edge magazine in the UK.

This wikipedia entry seems a little off though. Imagine was around long before 2005, but I guess the date has to do with merging with other publishing houses.

I was thinking that IGN became Gamespot, but I guess it's still around. I had no idea IGN and Imagine were the same company.

Game Players was better earlier on, before Ultra was tacked on to their name.

Also, nobody has mentioned Gamer's Republic. That was a pretty good mag, for the year or so it lasted. That one issue of GameGO was awesome, too.

"Gamer's Republic".........was that Halverson's second mag after "GameFan"??? Yeah, I had one or two issues of that. Nothing too remarkable about it, it got lost in the massive shuffling of video game magazines during the late '90's.

And I had all but stopped paying mind to "Game Players" after it upgraded to "Ultra". It seemed so..........forced.
