I'm curious about Dreamcast games (discs), does each game disc have a serial number on it? In other words, if I had two copies of Crazy Taxi would they have different serial numbers?
Thanks, gonna post this question on chuckwagon as well...

I would say that it is a serial number on the disc, but I don't have same copies of a game to verify.
I have a orignal HOTD 2 and the all-stars edition... when I go back home I can check for you?
Ok, though that won't really answer my question since the games are different.
I have a question: does it matter? is there any real reason you want to know this? I find it unlikely that there would be unique serial numbers since that wouldn't serve much purpose, unless maybe it was some limited special edition and they used the "X/500" to show how SuPaR RArE it is.
I don't understand what you're asking about these "serial numbers" Are you talking about the barcode-like security ring on the inside of the game disk?
It's just packaging... kind of like the Greatest Hits with Sony on the Playstation. Just a reissue. The packaging is different, and the disc says Sega All Stars on it.

Sega All Stars editions of Marvel vs Capcom and Powerstone are the rarest... every other one can be found rather easily.
But really, we kind of want to know why you care about serial numbers... are you THAT anal about variations?
I have 2 copies of Phantasy Star Online. They both have the same numbers inside the ring, except for a 2 letter stamp on the other side. One is labeled A4, while the other is DL.
