When you say "composite" it does sound French-Canadian, but everything else you say sounds normal. Composite is pronounced by cool kids as "cum paw zit".

Oh I must admit I've never known if it was "Com po sit" or "Com paw zit" and sometimes I think I've said it both ways! Now I know!
