Talk about games you know of that no one else has!

I had to make a topic some time.

But anyway, my game on this topic would have to be Mr. Chins Gourmet Paradise (Game Boy), simply because no one seems to have heard of it apart from like, 3 reviews.

Which is a shame because this game is such a gem, in uniqueness and random game over screens. I can't even find out the back story because all the copies of the game seem to mysteriously have no instruction manual.

Also no person seems to have heard of Battle Squadron (Mega Drive) either.

Both games I have owned over my lifetime, Mr. Chin was a technicality though since my friend owned it but I borrowed it for 10 years, I'll prolly buy it off him for $5 or something.

Nobody else seems to have heard of Vattle Giuce for Gameboy, its a great shoot-em-up.

i hardly ever see any great information about golden axe warrior for the sms, and if there are any reviews about it its all like "its another zelda clone" blah blah.. but if people actually played the game through they would realise its 1. much better than zelda (imo) and 2. its a great game that doesnt deserve to be named a zelda clone

I have Battle Squadron and, although I didn't have the time to play it through, I think it's a pretty decent shmup.

From my collection, I believe the game that suits most this topic is Space Turtle Battleship for the Mega Drive. And no, it's not as bad as some people might put it...

Gridders on the 3DO...I love this game, Bomber Hehhe! on the Dreamcast is another (though it is Japanese) and I don't know of anyone who has heard of Blast Chamber but I love this game...

Edit: AND Midnight Mutants on the Atari 7800...this game makes this system my 2nd favvy 8-bit system. It's an adventure game where you have to rescue Grandpa Munster, how f-ing awesome is that??

Battle Squadron seems okay, but like Kollision, I've never played far into it. First thing that struck me was it sounds like other EA MD games, which means it's interesting, and I'm a nerd.

As I think I mentioned in another thread recently, I enjoyed Rise of the Triad, but nobody else knew what it was.

There's also Hebereke's Popoon for the SNES, which I didn't know existed 'til I saw it in the shop, went "they're those things off that Lemmings level!" and purchased it :)

And... Lucky and Wild, a game I played in the arcade, which nobody ever seems to mention anywhere. (I didn't play many arcade games really - just that, House of the Dead & Day-ee-to-naaaa!)

Arkista's Ring on the NES. Amazing game.

I never see any of the four Deception(PS1/PS2) games getting much love, especially my favorite: Deception III Dark Delusion.

A real good one is CIMA: The Enemy for GBA.

If you think about it, though, I doubt there's any single game that no one has. :P Every time I think there's a game that only I care about, places like this and GameFAQs boards prove me wrong.

Good choice. There's really nothing on this game. Don't know why it never caught on -- maybe just a victim of being overlooked by being released during the 16-bit era.

The games I'd want to promote -- Necronomicon, Umihara Kawase Shun, Prikura Daisakusen, and other PSX/Saturn imports -- already have a fair amount of information out there now... I want to like The Conveni and its sequel, but the language barrier is too high for me to enjoy them. :( I really like Nijiiro Dodgeball and Korokoro Post Nin for PSX, and too many Puyo Puyo fans never bother to check out Madoh Monogatari which is a pretty nice RPG with the cast. I like the Stafy games on GBA/DS, and I guess I can throw out Melfand Stories for SF as a nice game I don't see much about.

I just bought one today: Pro Quarterback. Bet its a piece of crap, made by Tradewest, I dont believe it has a NFL license. But I got Burning Force, and I have a copy of the Winter Olympic Games that says Sega Mega Drive on it yet is clearly a Genesis cartridge (tested and works).

Rap Jam Volume One? I have a chance to get a copy of Street Hockey 95 for SNES, if its rare or not i dunno.

Utopia (SNES): The game is sort of a combination of Starcraft/Warcraft/Command & Conquer. The basic premise of the game is to build up your defenses, create war machines and create an economy to defend against an unseen force on the other side of the planet.

You will have to defend incoming attacks from the unseen opponent and send out forces to counter-attack. It's a pretty cool game, that was way under-rated for its time.

Brain Dead 13 for the Saturn. This game is SICK!

I like Galactic Attack on a Saturn. It is cheap ,fun, and relatively unknown.

Super Spy Hunter for the NES. Its a bundle of slowdown but it is by far the best vertical shooter for the NES. I mean, the graphical tricks in that game blow anything that I can think of for the NES.

On the subject of vertical shooters on the NES that pull off mind blowing graphical tricks I'd like to list Recca - Summer Carnival '92. It seems to push off more sprites than half the Mega Drive games I've played with not too much flicker or slowdown either. Great sound track too.

Okay, I'm aware Recca has some documentation on the net but I am still very surprised more people have not heard of it, its a technical marvel. (Plus it could give some people motion sickness)

its a pretty impressive game, but its nowhere near the level of cohesiveness found in Super Spy Hunter. Seriously, play Super Spy Hunter, even though it has slowdown out the ass, it is downright incredible.

Super Spy Hunter kicks ass, I've beat it few times... I don't have the game anymore :(

My 2 games - complete Trouble Shooter, and complete Sonic Adventure 2 Birthday Pack... many people have them, but not too many I guess.

Super Spy Hunter looks cool, but I don't think it's overly impressive technically. Recca's more impressive technically.

The most impressive NES game is probably Crisis Force - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ws5ujH65hfg. I wish I owned that one.

This game looks very familiar... I've played several hundred games on my Famiclones during 14 years, and owned 143 different games at one point... I know I did not own this game...

I loved Lucky an Wild in the arcade. No one ever seems to know that one. I love playing 2 player with one person so you are shooting and driving at the same time. I need to play that one again sometime as its been years. I wish I owned the arcade machine it would be pimp in my kitchen next to the fridge.

Tmee, what is complete trouble shooter? Is it different from the first game or daiginjou?

he means his copy is complete, as in, CIB, in other words, taking the title to mean games you have in a condition or type that no one has rather than a game no one talks about much.

I have a Russian CIB Duke3D too.... but it doesn't really count... who has actually beat the game ? I've managed to do it 2 times now...

For that matter, how many of you had the first Bionic Commando for the Gameboy? That game awesome, and yet no one on goddam Ebay has it available.

That is a good one and it was really hard to get when it was released.

I like Mr. Mosquito for PS2. It's an odd little game but it plays well and has a fun theme. Incredible Crisis for PS1 is pretty cool, lots of fun and different mini games all strung together with a really silly but enjoyable story line.

I recently downloaded Magic The Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers (MicroProse) From Home of the Underdogs (here's a link). I don't think many people had the game at the time, because they may have been playing via physical cards, but this is the best Magic The Gathering based game. BattleMage and BattleGrounds were doing it wrong (lol old meme), and the DreamCast version was Japanese, and no Weeaboos even touched that one. MicroProse's version was the most amazing card game adaption I ever played.

Rise of the Triad is one of my favourite FPS games ever - however, the game was totally ignored in the wake of Doom and as the developers disbanded shortly after, any chance of a sequel went down the pan with it - as such, the game never really recieved the respect it deserved. RotT was such a unique shooter, you could really tell that the deveopers had just let loose and added in anything they thought was funny or enjoyable to them - this obviousley stemed from the fact that RotT was originally intended to be a sequel to Wolfenstein 3D (hence the precense of the MP44), but when that sequel was canned Apogee and the DIPS (Developers of Incredibe Power) used what they had to make a highly enjoyable FPS that didn't take itself too seriousley - perhaps if it had launched before Doom, it might have recieved more critical success and the respect it deserves.

Also, RotT was the first FPS I played online, and one of the gametypes (Capture the Triad) was the first ever instance of Capture the Flag style gameplay in an online first person shooter, so RotT at least deserves respect for pionering one of FPS's most beloved match types (RotT's also the first FPS game to feature rocket jumps).

ROTT is the game of many "First seen features"...

I don't think anyone knows about Wizards and Warriors X: Fortress of Fear on the Game Boy. I also don't know of many people who have played the game HeliCops on Pc. It's a helicopter flight sim set in an anime-like universe and you have to fight terrorists.

Rise of the Traid was epic indeed.

I saw a jewel case for the CD one at a Goodwill, but when I looked in the case, it was a CD for some shitty flight sim! D:

And braindead 13 seems to be uncommon/inexpensive at best.

I've played Braindead 13. I'd rented it for the Playstation back when the game first came out.

Years ago I had a horrible Wolfenstein clone on my Pc. It had Dracula and Frankenstein instead of Nazis. It was so lame it was awesome.

I like Sinistar: Unleashed on the pc. If the original game had a child with a flight sim, this would be it.

Lunacy for the Sega Saturn...it is the sequel to Mansion of Hidden Souls...quite awesome.

I would like to take a moment to speak about Blood. Some of you have been lucky enough to read previous messages by me on the subject of this awesome game - the best of the Doom clones in that early generation of FPS. The level design is fantastic and imaginative, the horror has a brilliant campness to it and the gore and carnage are just magical. Talking about this is getting me so pumped I might just have to set up a hard-disk with DOS on just to enjoy Blood and all those amazing games of yesteryear.

Yeah I used to have that, me and my mates spent so much time with that game, it always ran waaay to fast on my PC but the gameplay was still fine.

Anyone ever played Ecstatica? loved that game, it was kind of like a fantasy version of Alone in the Dark and Resident Evil.

I remember seeing screenshots of that game in Gamefan magazine, but I've never seen it at retail. I wouldn't mind playing it.
