Is that bad? I mean, there were like seven battles and then the final boss. I did it all and only lost two battles.
WTF?

I have the Gamecube version and still haven't had a chance to play it yet! Wow beat it that fast!? I had a tough, yet a fun time trying to beat the first game on the Dreamcast!
Yeah, I just picked a random character, happened to be Eve, because I didnt know any of the characters, just ripped right through it. It doesnt have ridiculous or confusing controls, the story is cheesy. Its fun. Maybe I will play the rest of it. I almost bought MK: Deception, but i picked up a copy of this because I had it a week ago, but it didnt work.
If you play fighting games enough, this is more than possible after awhile. I can beat any of the Mortal Kombat games (1-trilogy) in about 10-15 minutes on any difficulty now. Once you get a character/the game down, there really isn't all that much there...
Fighting games are really easy...and only 7 battles? I mean that really is short...
Soul Calibur, as with any 3d or 2d fighter, isn't something you've 'beaten' because you've cleared story mode. Almost anyone can do that with button mashing on most fighters. You never really 'beat' these games. You practice and get better and better with different characters on the hardest modes or against the best players.
It's like saying you beat a soccer game because you won one match.
Yeah, I realized that. Im new to the fighting game scene. I want to beat the game with every character just so I can say Ive done it, and then I will move on.
What system(s) is/are Soul Caliber III for? Maybe I will pick it up if it isnt too expensive. I also just bought Capcom vs. SNK 2EO for GC. A good game, but a lot of shit is hardcore.
SC3 is on the PS2, and you can find it for cheap second-hand nowadays.
HOWEVER! It also comes with a very rare, but VERY severe memory-card wiping bug. There's a story mode called 'Chronicles of the Sword' where you collect most of the weapons/costumes/goodies in, and I think it requires it's own game save. This save, in a rare case, will corrupt itself sometimes, or if you go and delete a game save off your memory card (from any other game) that you made before you saved SC3 to it. As I've got my game saved onto one of those unofficial memory cards with the extra space on it, I've haven't had this problem, or feel inclined to erase game saves from it too often either. SC3 has a lot more meat and polished style on it than SC2, except be careful about this bug.
There is no real difference between SC2 and SC3 except for a few different moves and fighting strategies, and those three crappy characters (The girl with the umbrella is cool though). I think SC2 was just a bridge for SC3-4. Its just another gap in a dwindling franchise. Still a great fighting game, one of the best. If I were you I would play through the mini-game and get all the items and costumes but to keep the game alive find a bunch of friends to play it with.
