The dirtiest cartridge you've had the pleasure to clean.

Wow, You figure if you pay $60 for a cartridge, You'd take serious care of it. Not leave it in your garage to rot. This is the dirtiest cartridge I've had the pleasure to clean let alone own. The small cracks on the side still have dirt I'm cleaning out of them. This is the Super Game Boy I bought today for $10. The idea of A Super Game Boy is wierd, It's a cartridge that you put cartridges in to. Doesn't that seem wierd, The Gameboy player isn't like that, nor any other adapter for a system, that I know of.

P.S. - Does anyone know how to clean a Super Gameboy Gameboy Cart slot. Q-tips won't fit, are there ways of cleaning GB/GBC/GBA slots, because it's essentially the same thing.

I have a got a whole box of N64 games from a buddy but they had been left out in the elements. Most of them were totally covered in dust and the contacts were completely rusted.

I once got a box full of SNES games that were entirely covered in I believe the powdered form of drywall mix. Few of em worked.

I have never got joy out of cleaning a cartridge.

The nastiest thing I have ever cleaned was a 2600 that had 20 years of dust and mouse droppings on it.

My dirtiest cart was so dirty I had to scrub dirt off it with a knife. It was a FC cart I found in a dumpster

Lol, Ive had some pretty gritty ones from ebay that were supposed to be mint condition. The one that comes to mind is happened fairly recently. I received joshua n battle of Jericho loose cart that looked like it was used to play soccer with. It wasn't really carbon looking dust on it more like really dry light brown fine dirt all over in the crevices and all over the pins.

I brought a copy of Final Fantasy on the NES from eBay US a few years back, it arrived within a week and looked really nice, box was almost mint, all manuals and inserts were there and in really nice contidion, cart looked great...

...until i turned it on it's end and looked down into the connector which I can only describe as looking like someone had taken a shit into it.

I had to carefully dismantle the cart and scrub the contacts clean with a miniature wire brush then wipe them with spirits, the entire process took me the best part of an hour!

Cleaning carts upon arrival is a ritual...
