That was awesome!
HAAHAHAA...man this is only funny to me because I was listening to Rick Astley all day...
Oh man, McCain was just asking for this kind of treatment by having that perfectly solid blue background which is soooo easy to key out.
That was the first Rick Roll I've ever seen that was actually clever.
What a fantastic video! :D
Gwahahahaa....:D
If anyone votes against Obama, it it because they are racist. That's right... RACIST!!!! Racist against white people, since Obama is white.
Too bad it didn't happen for real.
I smell political debate.
McCain is half-dead. I wonder why so many old people run for president of the USA.
It´s like they either go to an retirement castle or as an alternative they run for the presidental elections for the republican party.
I mean, he is 72 years old! This is an age where the brain cells are so degraded he should not even be allowed to drive, let alone run a country.
At least even his degraded brain cells should be capable of more than George W. Bush´s ever were, even in his best age.
The republicans fucked bad in 2000. Mccain should have been the nominee. He did good at first. I never got it why everyone freaked out over Bush. Maybe it was his name.
Or maybe it's because he sucks.
People forget that circa 2001-2003 badmouthing Bush was considered a "bad" thing.
I didn't like him the first time I saw him.
I also can't respect someone who devotes heir career to politics and can't give a simple speech without fucking it up. If you can't handle public speaking, how am I supposed to believe you can handle running an entire friggin' country?
I am talking 2000 as in the election that took place in 99. Everybody ragged on Bush before 911.
The election was in 2000, dumbass didn't get office until Jan 2001.
My last couple of sentences in my previous post were my thoughts on the guy *IN 2000*, it just so happens they are relevant today.
Cool beans
So being captured in war makes you cool?
I´d say it not exactly something to be proud of having been a prisoner of war.
And wtf does it have to do with being a good politician?
I never knew that crawling through the mud, shooting people and pulling leeches from your balls turn you into a good politician.:D
He´s just a senile old man, not exactly the kind of person to bring fresh wind into the country.
Which is one of the reasons I'm not voting for him. I can respect him for being a veteran, but he still represents the "old guard" when it comes to Washington.
Plus he's 72 fucking years old. What is this guy going to have in common with young voters? All I can see him doing as President is sitting on the white house front porch yelling at kids to get off his lawn.
1. You aren't old enough. (must be at least 35).
2. You aren't a natural citizen. This is why Ah-nuld isn't running for President.
This is somehow fitting.
... And don't get me started on Palin!
Either way we are screwed. We get to pick from an old bag or a bag of wind.
Radioactive waste? is that a jab at the proposal of nuclear power? I don't like nuclear power as a permanent solution, but until solar/wind/hippie power is sophisticated enough to replace all fossil fuels, we gotta make due with what we have. The whole world is too dependent on a fuel supply that is definitely finite and until people stop being wasteful d-bags we gotta get by somehow.
As for McCain in general, he is an old man, but at least he seems harmless enough. Obama could be an OK president in 10 or 20 years, but right now he's just too damn inexperienced. People care too much about the president anyway, its not like he really does anything, he's just a figurehead and a scapegoat that does what people tell him to do.
They will miss Bush when they can't blame him anymore. :)
Nuclear power is much cleaner than the majority of widely-used power sources we have today. People think of the crap they show on The Simpsons when they think of nuclear power... either that or they think the town will go up in a mushroom cloud when someone eventually presses the wrong button.
the difference is that the waste is much harder to return to an environmentally safe state, which means if we get too out of control with it the whole world will be one big glowing nuclear waste pile. But, with fossil fuels the way they are, its looking like the fuel of choice for the next 50 years or so.
Obama is like Jimmy Carter jr. and I won't vote for Jimmy Carter Jr. Bush really ticks me off at times too and I don't disagree about him being a horrible speaker etc. But Obama would be worse. McCain is no wonderboy either, but I'll take McCain over the JC jr.
Also, I never understood why Europeans took so much interest in our elections, like we have some obligation to elect someone you approve of. It's not the USA ever goes insane when people like Jean Marie Le Pen almost get elected, or Mussolini's grand daughter has a gigantic amount of power in Italy or fascists constantly get elected in Austria.
A fascist has NEVER EVER in the history of the USA held any federal elected seat of office and probably never will. It happens endlessly in Europe so you guys not nothing to say.
I might hasten to add that the USA hasn't had a good speaker as president since FDR...JFK is highly overrated as a speaker and a president (the only reason anyone cares about him is that he got shot, sorry but its true)
Well they do have good reason to be interested in who tuns this place. We have more influence then anyone. Thomas Jefferson once said in his time " that everyman is a citizen of two countries. His own and France". These days the U.S. has replaced France of course. Still though even being over there a few times it does amaze me how much interest they have over in us. Sometimes the the message seems to be " We hate you . Please send more Bay watch " Maybe the Italians want there trains to run on time again. Their government has fallen like 68 times since WWII.
True that, it's not really fair to compare us to say Austria but still. I mean, whomever we elect it won't be the end of the world. One thing is for sure: people really overestimate how much power our president has, especially over domestic issues.
I also don't have a problem with Europe, I just love sticken' it to 'em. The only thing I DON"T like is that Europeans often like to make out that they know what is best for us (i.e. health care, domestic laws, death penalty, guns etc.) when it really has absolutely nothing to do with them. When it comes to foreign policy, their opinion(s) should indeed hold some bearing on our policies.
The absolute main reason I don't want Obama is because the democrats will also control both houses of congress which I do not want. It should never be one party entirely in control and it is always a disaster when they are. The best times in history have been a divided government:
Reagan with democratic congress
Clinton with a republican congress
Bush with a republican congress==tons of spending/waste/nonsense.
No party should have 100% control, and I would like to see a McCain presidency with a democratically controlled congress.
I totally agree with the party thing. I remember realizing that when Bush came in and it was down right scary.
Nope, just suggesting that I'd start World War III.
Nuclear power is the way forward, but a few hippies (who don't want fossil fuels or any of their alternatives) obviously keep screaming "Chernobyl" as if a 1970's Soviet reactor with virtually no safety systems is the same as a modern nuclear power station.
Damn it, I would be such a great US President. The first bit of legislation I would come up with is the "Exile Genesis Knight Bill" which will secure the United States the great future it deserves. Under me hippies will be culled, cigarettes dispensed at pharmacies, Rául Juliáism will be bought into schools so that children can learn about the Addams Family instead of some sandal wearing hippie who walked on water and I will also declare war with some country over a flimsy claim of them having terrolists.
Nuclear power rules, we need more of it, Europe got it spot on with nuke power...
Forget Obama, I'm writing in "Mr.Smith" on November's ballot.
Praise Raul!
