The U.S. Election

I gotta go with McCain and Palin. I don't really like them that much but they are better than the alternative. I live in Chicago and it makes Illinois a blue state, so it's almost as if my vote is meaningless. I'm surrounded by people who think Obama could walk on water. They all have this glazed eyed look and whenever you ask them what the man stands for the only answer I get is "change". It scares me when people have no idea what a man stands for yet they think he's the savior because of the way CNN portraits him I don't want to pay more taxes, and I believe in small government, and although McCain isn't Regan, he's closer to him than Obama.

Also we are at war, we need a war time president, Obama has shown he's incapable to lead this country. He wants to talk with Iran without any preconditions.

McCain has shown he is incapable of flying his war time airplane or sticking with his wife that endured this POW term before dumping her for some rich socialite. :p Seriously, between selling out his constituents in the Keating Five scandal, voting against veteran benefits, siding with the administration and party whose deregulation of the markets has sent the global economy in a tailspin, and his well established temper, I cannot think of a worse candidate to steer the nation out of this economic crisis and stop America's bleeding abroad than McCain. The fact that that know nothing idiot Palin is just a heartbeat away from the presidency is just icing on the cake.

So does Kissinger, McCain's advisor. It's called diplomacy. It's called not wanting to pour billions into foreign lands (and domestic Republican owned military corporations like Halliburton and KBR) and watching thousands of American lives lost for no good reason.

I don't understand why anyone disagrees with Obama on meeting with foreign leaders without precondition. "He's going to... TALK TO PEOPLE!!! OH NO!!!"

I agree with this as well... I'm not gungho on Palin. But, you've just used my favorite rebuttal from the pro-Obama camps, which is used to distract the public from what scares me most, fact that they are putting up a community organizer for President.

I'd like to think that a President could rely on his VP in times such as foreign diplomacy. McCain doesn't have that option.

I like Palin even less after she stuck her foot in her mouth with that "Obama isn't an American" BS. Made me think of Bush circa 2003 when he said that those who didn't fully support him weren't American.

Born in Hawaii = American. If they are trying to change the definition of what is American, then that is every bit as pathetic as trying to change the law so Arnold Schwarzenegger can run for president.

During a Palin speech yesterday there was some heckler causing some crap. It doesn't really matter what the heckler was trying to say, but Palin's response was "My son is over in Iraq fighting for your right to protest!" Cheers ensued. But what Palin doesn't seem to realize is that we are not fighting for the rights of citizens here in America over in Iraq. It is Operation: Iraqi Freedom, not Operation: American Freedom. We are fighting for their rights, not ours. So if Palin's son is over in Iraq fighting for our rights, he's in the wrong place. She's an idiot. She's a female Dan Quayle.

I think the debate over Obama is that his birth certificate supposedly looks questionable.

The crazies really do come out of the woodwork during elections.

If you vote for the right guy: The country will be saved and all of its problems will be solved. This guy is the ONLY possible right choice and can do no wrong.

If you vote for the wrong guy: The country will degrade into something so bad it will be unimaginable, everyone will lose their job and we'll all die. This guy is PURE EVIL and wants to hurt you.
