The big fish cheated the hang man by killing themselves.
Anyway smoking was one thing Hitler was right about. Also, interstate highways and rockets. But that's about it.

Wales :D
Hitler wasn't right about rockets, Albert Speer was...Hitler put an absolute ban on all rocket/jet and other neeto weapon research until mid to late 1943 because he was a moron. It wasn't until Germany began completely losing air superiority that his inner circle was able to convince him of the potential of these weapons. Had Hitler wanted them, he could have had an operational jet fighter in 1942 (Heinkel He 240 which actually flew in 1940 but Hitler canceled it forbidding ANY further research/testing)
Eh, I should have said "Nazis". One thinks I would have remembered that since I'm a historian, or at least that piece of sheepskin I have on my wall does anyway. *smacks forehead*
But yeah, if he had gotten rockets and jets even just a year earlier than they did and produced them, there's a good chance I'd be speaking German.
Fuck the Republicans and Democrats, NOW this guy looks like he knows what he's doing:
They even have a "cavalry"....of sorts.
The Republican party is strange to many in the US as well.
What is funny about the "anti-Evolution" is that "Creationism" wasn't flying so someone tried to be slick and rename it "intelligent design". Animals/insects/lizards don't evolve from other things, they just magically appear!
The only thing ID is good for is trying to come up with the best "being" that magically made everything appear. My vote goes for either Merlin, a talking dragon, or a leprechaun.
The one good thing about "intelligent design" is that it led to the Flying Spaghetti Monster's revelation.
I've never met a (normal) person here under 35 who is a member of the Republican Party.
Anyone who is is home schooled 9/10 times.
This thread is getting long so this subject is probably long since passed, but here goes:
Global warming is real, obviously. Are humans the cause? Not as much as people like to think. It is cyclic. It would be arrogant of us to presume we can cause a massive global change in climate like that in such a short amount of time. Should we work on ways to pollute less and whatnot? Yes, absolutely. So no matter what you believe about global warming, the "effect" it has is good for everyone. Should we use the word "green" to describe clean technology and the like? Fuck no. That's the one thing that makes me want to pollute more and more. I absolutely hate that term.
I agree with that Joe. Even if you DON'T believe it's man made, if it causes us to switch from polluting forms of energy that we import from psycho countries to non-polluting forms of energy we get here, it's good anyway.
Well, I do live in southern Virginia. I don't know how Republicans are out West or in the Northeast, but what I said is true in the South.
Home school kids usually tend to be about 8 times smarter then the normal kids here. They are just a little scared of people.
Here they tend to be religious nuts, not smart. Like believing the Earth is 3,000 years old and dinosaurs walked with man nuts.
It's usually true that the young'uns vote liberally because they feel all oppressed (like most teens and tweens do) and when they become old farts they vote conservatively because they are afraid of change (and loud noises).
Hasn't that been changing though? With former hippies becoming senior citizens, and fears that Republicans want to privatize Social Security (fears that Bush kindled), I would imagine that the older demographic is moving a bit to the left. I have no data to back that up, though.
