The last entry into the original Mega Man series was released on the PS1 and the Saturn. Number 9 will be released on all three major consoles, but will feature a graphical throwback to the first six games in the series?
Personally, I like the retro look, although I would have preferred more of a "neo-retro" look. Perhaps by using the original 8-bit Mega Man sprite but with with current-level backgrounds and music.
What are everyone's thoughts on the upcoming game, or just Mega Man in general?
I really like the look of Megaman 9. I didn't care much for the SNES games of MM. Something seemed to be missing. Although I enjoyed the remake of MM-X on PSP. The Megaman ZX series on DS is nice, alot of the other series/branches looks bad though.
I really should have liked Mega Man ZX more, but I just couldn't take too much of it.
I loved the X series on the SNES and I thought both PSP games were excellent
Looks cool to me, I'll be grabbing it on Wiiware. There's gonna be DLC too, although Capcom haven't decided if it'll be only for those who meet certain achievements of if they'll just put it up for sale. Online leaderboards should make me hate myself even more too, heh.
I just bought a copy of the CD soundtrack off of CDJapan's website to get me pumped for the actual release of the game. I was wondering what version of the game are you guys getting? Wii for me.
If I were to buy it, it would surely be for the PS3.
Even though I have a Wii, I'll be getting this game for the XBox for the achievements
ill be getting it for 360, but i keep buying the anniversary collection for GC and every copy I buy doesnt work.

You're using a NTSC Wii/GC, yeah? The collection wasn't released for PAL, so either use a region-free homebrew dealio or chip your console if it isn't NTSC.Quote:

Probably going to get it on Wii. Maybe XBox if I really really want the achievements, but probably the Wii.
I'm really looking forward to it. I've heard they've taken more cues from MM2 than any other, and that's my favorite.
I'm getting it for my Xbox for sure, needs those achivements! But I really would love one of those 200 limited boxes, it would be sweet like a twinky! :D
