Portable NES

I recently found a handheld gaming system from Japan preloaded with about 160 original NES games.

I didn't purchase it because it seemed a bit sketchy (I've seen how shoddy a lot of this third-party systems can be).

Has anyone played anything like this?

man, that looks awesome! one thing to make sure is that it is 160 UNIQUE and UNALTERED games, usually pirated x-in-1's have 3 different games with a million sprite/pallet swaps.

Hmm, yeah it doesn't look too bad. Nevr heard of it myself but you can probably find some reviews on it if you look hard enough. Kinda looks like a psp

A: No, Download the torrent that has every single NES game. Download the Nestopia Emulator and put both of these files on your laptop. Also Buy a PC Controller.

Why do this? Instead of 160 games you will have 1600 games and the ability to switch between both PC functions and other games.

Agreed. It list 160 different games, though. I'm just concerned that if I got it, there would be one level for each, the damn thing would break too easily, or it would have a battery life of about three minutes (or all of the above).

Is $50 worth the risk?

4 buttons?

Why does it have four buttons on the right-hand side? It's a NES, shouldn't two suffice?

Yeah, I suppose I could do that. The novelty of this little device is more appealing, though

I would rather use a GameBoy Advance with an NES emulator.

That would be the best with a GBA Classic.

Use a GBA Micro. Smallest portable NES. EVER! Plus the screen on the Micro is like ridiculously bright. on the highest setting its like overkill bright and oh so crisp. Puts the SP's side lit (or whatever it is) to shame.

You lose vertical res with the GBA for NES emulation. NDS is the way to go ;)

Well true I guess DS would be the way to go! More processing power too! I can't imagine whats out there for DS. I think I saw SCUMM VM for DS that would be too cool with the touch screen!!

Hey! That would be really cool to play SCUMM games using the stylus/touch screen :)
