All this church stuff is getting a bit foolish. We all know there is only one true faith and that is Rául Juliá. Those who follow the False One are merely involved in a cult or confused.
While I respect those who are unaffiliated requesting a sanctuary, these other churches/orders/assemblies are getting out of hand.
The Temple was first and the rest are just pale imitators.

In all fairness the Church of Lambert is 2nd oldest and immediately came around to compete with the Julia cult. I mean every religion needs a competitor.

a bunch of games were re-released in the card stock boxes that were originally released in the plastic clamshell.
one off the top of my head is Sonic 3, Edit: IIRC Desert Strike was re-released in the cardstock box too. I remember two different carts and I believe I remember the cardstock box as well.

When I was stationed in San Antonio, the *ONLY* and I mean the *ONLY* grocery store was H-E-B... There was one on every damned block. When I took the taxi to my airport as I was shipping home, I talked with the taxi driver, and he said HEB took over Safeway (I think he said Safeway...) and now has a monopoly and jacked up the prices. I know there's like two within a 3 mile radius of Lackland and one right off of Brooks. OK, Walmart and Target, also off base sold groceries, but still HEB is the only chain in San Antonio at least, but I think that is because they are headquartered there.
If you have access to a military base and the proper ID, shop at a commissary... food at cost, except you pay a 5% surcharge. Not too bad...

I think I do a pretty good job being respectful with my atheism (although i'm really more agnostic). I can understand why people are religious, although the very idea of religion is laughable to me.

any door to door religion is annoying. Every time mormons come over, I always am sure to let them give me their pitch, but while they're doing it I always light up a cigarette and offer them beers.

I don't get how appealing to something higher is supposed to convince me. I mean, we're here on earth and told to enjoy as little as possible...wtf is the point!?
Sad to say, but religion is the crutch of the weak-minded who are too arrogant or afraid to accept the fact that this may very well be all there is.
That being said, in my experience mormons are exceptional people, so I guess their faith serves a purpose.
I'm a Roman Catholic but I interpret my religion in my own way. An example of it would be how I believe that one of the most successful christians was Ghandi and he was Hindu. So it doesnt matter who you believe in it just matters how well you treat others and how well you balance yourself within your environment.
Also the Vatican museum has cool art.
That's kind of a secondary point of mine: the basic message of most religions seems to be that everyone should just try to be a good person. I don't see how you need to be God-fearing to live that way.

I do not attend church services anymore. I did just a few years ago, but then I started connecting the whole "you need to be saved and accept christ" speeches always came right before the collection plate was passed around.
I don't see how giving money to a man-made organization is supposed to keep me from going to hell. Its not like God is doing the accounting there, if he was and they could prove it, I would certainly have given them more money.

I new two Jehova's witness girls and they were the most screwed up, promiscuous, weirdo's I have ever been in contact with.
The main problem was their parents restricted and condemned everything that seems to be normal everyday behavior.
Some restrictions would be; having friends that werent Jehova's witnesses, Boyfriends that werent a witness, and so on and so forth. It was almost like they were locked away and conceal from the world pychologically and physically and from doing that they over endulged everytime they had the chance before they had to go back.
Crazy stuff, thats what I see as the bad side of some religions. Really screwed up people.
Yeah, the more people are on lock-down all the time, the more they lash out. I knew a girl who lived in an extremely strict jewish family. Her parents wouldn't let her go to dances, prom, on dates with non jews.
Probably the biggest slut in school too...can't say I don't understand but she got pregnant her sophomore year in high school and away she went.
Many moons ago, like six months ago I had a dream about this chick who moved when I was in the 6th or 7th grade. I only remembered her first name, and I had the vaguest idea of what she looked like... So I was puzzled. Then I looked in an old year book, which gave her last name.
So I went on Myspace, no profile... went on Facebook and sent her a message. I don't recall HER lashing out, but I think she needed an attitude check back then if I remember correctly. I sent her a message and she was very nice. And she has a kid now, lashing out?
I know she had a friend, I only remember her first name too. She wasn't really good looking, but I have a feeling she ended up OK looking after all.

It is true but they are only good for practice, you cant have them around for a long term thing.
