Post your computer specs
This computer specs are a bit odd...
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+
GIGABYTE GA-MA78GM-S2H
4GB DDR2 PC800 (generic - I forgot the name of it)
ATi Radeon HD4670 1GB
LG HD DVD/Blu Ray Combo Drive
3.5 Media Reader
COOLER MASTER eXtreme Power Plus RS-500-PCAR-A3 500W
1TB Samsung HD
Silverstone LC20B-M
Mainly use it for surfing the net and some media shit like watching the TV, music, movies... looks great on my ghetto entertainment setup :P
The sound is missing from the list since the sound I use is the onboard stuff, and my TV doesn't have HDMI audio, and I don't have a HDMI receiver, since I only have an el cheapo 2.1 receiver. Going to add a 1.5TB HDD and another optical drive (just DVD). Was going to get a 1GB 4850, but I decided against it since I don't do much PC gaming these days, so it'd be wasted money, but I REALLY wanted the features on the HD 4XXX series, and I wasn't too impressed with anything below the 4670.
I have some P4 2.5Ghz machine back home... and a laptop that is busted that I don't really care about the specs. I know it had a Turion 64 and a Geforce 7000m onboard, the display is busted.

Not sure why I didn't post earlier. I built this computer in June/July.
Mobo: 790FX, Asus M3A-32 MVP Deluxe
CPU: AMD Phenom X4 9850 Black Edition
RAM: 4GB (2 2GB sticks) DDR2 1066, G.Skill
Video: ATI Radeon HD 3650
HD: 500GB Western Digital
Power Supply: 750W, PC Power & Cooling S75QB
Case: Antec Nine Hundred, Black Steel
OS: Windows Vista 64-bit Home Premium
Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster 932gw (19")
I love my computer, I just need to upgrade the video card. When I get the money, I'm buying one of these. And I'll probably kick up the RAM to 8GB at some point.
-
My PC is a piece of shit :D.
I haven't a clue what the spec is, but i have to give it a decent kick to get it running and i have a cracked screen from when i threw the mouse at it when it was on a go slow. Keep meaning to buy a new one but i always end up buying MD games instead ;).

If my motherboard supports the Phenom II processors... I'm putting in a Phenom II X4 940 3GHz come January.
I should then be good a couple of years. Nothing wrong with the current processor, but I hope its good in MAME. :D
I thought about making the pc silent, since the HD4670 fan pisses me off. Will an aftermarket cooler void the video card warrenty? If so, and it fuckes up, I'll buy that HIS 1GB 4670 to replace it. :D
-
Every company is different when it comes to their warranty. Check the site and see whats up. If a Phenom II is what you're getting you better overclock that S.O.B.
-
I have a Sapphire HD4670 1GB that I LOVE dearly, but the fan is soooo loud and the fan control in the updated drivers is really hit or miss.
I saw the Phenom II's where up to 6GHz... impressive. But I just want something to whip ass in MAME. Plus I have an AM2+ Mobo and DDR2 800 ram.
Ouch...

Use Rivatuner, problem solved.
-
I'd rather buy a GFX card with Silentpipe cooler, then attach a big fan running on 5V there. huge heatsink + big fan = quiet awesomness !!!
