If people were smart they wouldn't have bought all of those Xbox360s in the first place back in the beginning when they all started breaking down. Great games (I guess) are released for the console because of all of the consoles sold. If people stopped buying the damn thing, those games would be on a better platform. So the bottom line is that people are stupid. I blame Halo. I really don't think the 360 lineup is amazing. Its best game is Test Drive Unlimited and the other great game is Dead Rising. There are some other good ones like Ace Combat 6 and Rez HD, but beyond those few I'd say the 360 lineup is pretty boring. I absolutely abhor FPS games, they are the worst thing to happen to gaming pretty much ever, in my opinion.

As far as online goes, I'm not sure what patches you are talking about unless it is Little Big Planet. Most PS3 games work seamlessly online. I don't think I would want to fork over an extra $50 a year just so I don't have to wait a day or two until a free patch comes out. I like the PS3 online experience far more as well. You can use just about any USB or Bluetooth keyboard, just about any USB or Bluetooth headset, a combination of both and just about any webcam that is USB2 compatible. You don't have to use MS's proprietary nonsense. So really, Xbox Live is a complete waste of money. That's why I don't pay for it. But I enjoy playing online on the PS3... from time to time. Single player gaming or gaming with your buddies in the same room are still the best.

Gears of War 1 & 2, Bioshock, and Lost Planet are all better games than Dead Rising. The frustration level in that game quite thoroughly counters how fun it is to run around a mall killing zombies with whatever you can lay your hands on.

Wow. I dislike all of the games you mention with the exception of Gears of War. That one wasn't bad... but not good enough for me to care about Gears of War 2. Lost Planet was alright at best. Bioshock can bite me. Those last 2 aren't even exclusives. Dead Rising is fairly easy to complete Not super-easy, mind you. You don't have to kill all of the bosses and do everything they tell you over the walkie.

Also, is it a rule in every game these days that there must be some all-seeing asshat talking to you over a radio? I am absolutely sick of that.

One of the cool aspects of Bioshock is that the "asshat" doesn't interupt your game every 15 seconds like Otis does in Dead Rising. But Bioshock only recently became "non-exclusive," as Dead Rising itself is about to do once the Wii game comes out.

That asshat talks to me all the time in Bioshock. He calls me a "boil", whatever the hell that is. Radio chatter = the devil. Bioshock = the devil's wet turd.

I thought halo jumped ship and will be cross platform from now on...

Amen, thank god someone else gets it. I don't know why everyone keeps standing by XBOX 360 so much. I mean, if you say anything good about the PS3 you are a fanboy and stubborn, but somehow liking the 360 in spite of its multitude of setbacks is just perfectly OK. I really do have an anti-Microsoft bias, but even if the XBOX 360 was released by Sega I would have a hard time swallowing all of its hardware failures and unnecessarily expensive add ons and services (LIVE). When it comes to video games, I don't look at the brand name, I look at the product (especially with hardware) and with the XBOX 360 I see the biggest marketing trick the world has ever known. I think we all would be in a better gaming place if everyone had just bought a PS3 to start with. Its OK though, PS3 and all other Sony systems are on a 10 year plan, so its only a matter of time before it becomes a force to be reckoned with, especially once people get tired of their 3rd or 4th RROD.

I find it funny how every time Metal Gear Solid 4 is nearly announced for the 360, the majority of 360 owners usually respond with something like "OOOOOO PWND u looooserz u have no xclusives now u all suk ha ha ha lol the ps3 is teh suk omg!" But when something like Bioshock goes to the PS3, the Xbox community is like "who carez? it iz a throwaway game everyone has already played it so it duzent matter lol ps3 is teh suk gettin old games lololol"

As long as you don't intend on downloading any demos, Live Arcade games or ripping music CDs you'll be fine.
