This deserves a correction I think: The games have not been redone in 720p. They use a blur filter like Gens or Kega.

That shouldn't stop him from at least trying. He does want the game to sell, right? He should apply some pressure, especially since Japanese games are no longer as region-specific as they used to be.

- The Youtube video even suggests that they've stretched the display to 720p (16:9) instead of keeping the game's original aspect ratio (4:3).

Let's hope that this is optional...

If it is indeed just a filter, then it is teh suck. Luckily, you can turn it off.
