Or just in case you need a quick "travel size" Genesis, but one with out CD or 32X capabilities. And if you don't have a Nomad already.

Hey man, I'm glad to see other people actaully like the model 3. Review was so-so, could have been more organized and had some better visuals. Black table + black system = nothing to look at. You could have had some gameplay footage or opened it up too. Not trying to be mean, just a suggestion for next time.
Also one thing not mentioned ofter about the model 3 (i did see a mention in the youtube comments) is that it can play imports that don't have a region lock out. Most pre-1992 mega-drive games will fit right in the widened cart slot and fire right up without a game genie (which also will not work on some systems). Why no one mentions this while critisizing the heck out of this system is beyond me. Also, as far as the model 3 being more expenive, I have to disagree. I see them sell routinely on ebay for under 10 dollars. The only reason the aucitons go higher is usually because some decent games were included.
Anyhow, thanks for showing some of the good features of the model 3!

You have the same Genesis 3 as mine, a VA2. That thing is harder to modify for Virtua Racing compatibility. 2 connections are missing on that thing for Virtua Racing to work. On a VA1, the Genesis 3 OoXxXoO has, the TMSS screen shows up before the screen goes blank, as there's only 1 connection on the cartridge slot disconnected that's critical to Virtua Racing's functioning. On a VA2, that same connection is disconnected, plus another connection which allows the system to recognize the cartridge.
