help me Atari 5200 collectors

I have a copy of Bounty Bob Strikes Back for Atari 5200, how much is it worth? It says on Atari Age that it is the rarest 5200 game ever made. Even better, I also have the prequel Miner 2049er, though I think it is the 2600 version. Does anyone have any idea what it is worth? I plan on making a thread at Atari Age but their stupid red tape will keep me from posting for a day or two probably. Both games were marked $1.99 at Play N Trade and I was like "hmmmm, that looks rare" and I looked on eBay and saw an auction that had both with a buy it now of $700 and I was like HOLY SHIT!

woa, and I thought I got a good deal at Play N' Trade getting crusader of centy for 1.99 :?

Digitpress (for what its worth) has the loose cart fetching $250, which is still an awesome steal for you. I don't know how much they are really worth but either way thats a great haul man.

Just put it up on ebay with a $.99 starting price and see where it goes.

Miner 2049er isn't worth that much, but Bounty Bob Strikes Back is easily worth as much as Radiant Silvergun.

Play N' Trade sounds like a pretty cool store. Most of the mom and pop stores around here are overpriced.

Miner 2049er is worth about $30-50, Bounty Bob is worth ~$200...you would know if one is the 2600 version, the 5200 has very very different looking cartridges with ribbed edges and they're much wider and much thinner than 2600 hundred cart. Bounty bob does NOT have the ribbed edges if I remember correctly but it is still going to be a much much larger cart...here is a picture that gives you an idea of the difference.

well, actually, I didn't buy it, I'm going to sell it for the store for like 50% of the take. I could've just bought it and run, but that store is in such financial hell right now I couldn't leave him hanging, so I consider it the biggest donation he'll ever get.

As for the games, neither one look like a normal 2600 or 5200 game because they are unlicensed. I am about 99% sure the Bounty Bob is the 5200 game because it looks just like the picture on atariage.com. Now Miner 2049er I'm confused about. It says on the top for Atari 400/800/1200/xl or some shit like that (I'm saying it from memory) so I have no idea what system its for (are those Atari computers?) or how rare it is. I'll stop by there and take pics when I'm done with class today. Its funny because I'm actually a little bummed that they are so rare because I was going to buy it regardless just because of the cheezy artwork and title, lol. Damn do I have an eye for rare ass shit.

If it says Atari 400/800/1200 etc. it is for the Atari home computers and is not compatible with the 2600 or 5200. If it were for the 2600 it would say one of three things:
For the Atari 2600
For the Atari VCS
For the Atari Video Computer System

that copy is for the home computer is actually a little rarer and fetches upwards of $100 complete (the demand for it, however, is much lower). Here is a photo of the home computer version (ignore the ROMEX on the far right, it is the PAL/UK version)

I'm not even sure exactly what system bounty bob is even for now...let me know if you guys know anything about what system these are actually for and what the value is.

They're both for the Atari home computers and will work with all the aforementioned home computers I listed. Both are still rather rare for the home computer systems. I know for a fact that Miner2049er is worth more on the home computers than it is for the 5200. I believe Bounty Bob is worth the same.

so what would you estimate it would bring at auction? should I list them together or separately?

I've seen the home computer version of Miner2049 fetch about $100 complete. But that's ebay and I think it a fluke. Your biggest obstacle is the fact that there is little demand for Atari 8 bit computer games which in general keeps the prices down. For just the loose cart I think even $50 is stretching it.

Bounty Bob on the other hand is another I've seen go for upwards of $150 and that was the 8 bit computer version but once again that was complete. The 5200 versions of both games are where the money is at because people will pay it. I would honestly be surprised if you got $150 for the two of them. Its just one of those things that's impossible to price. Your best bet is to list them together on ebay for say $300 as a BIN and just make it clear in your description that it's $300 OBO. Let people send you offers and the market will decide. Or someone might just buy em!

I'd think so, since the game on floppy disc was pirated by everyone. Only a true collector would have an interest in something like that.

I have a complete (and very rare) Mr. Do! for the SNES and it doesn't sell for more than $30 on ebay, because of the many other versions of the game being available.

Yeah, I remember IQ for the PSX used to go for a FORTUNE then sony released it on the PSP and just about every copy I've seen went from $90 + to $20-$30

The PSP version was only released in Japan though.
