I used to ignore handhelds even though I had the original brick Gameboy and the GameGear, in fact the only time I played them was during my History class in Jr. High (the teacher used me like a student teacher since he thought I should be a teacher). Now that I have the medical problems I do and have to go to the doctors a lot, I've found that I love the DS. In my opinion, it's the best Nintendo system since the SNES and the best system released since the Dreamcast.
Well... I bit the bullet today and went for it. I have trouble resisting things when I see them there in front of me.

If you want some more recommendations for awesome games, I got plenty.
If you want a fun quirky game, I recommend Little Red's Zombie BBQ on the DS.
Even though I've always been especially fond of handheld gaming systems, I was rather surprised at how much more I enjoy the DS than just about any other system I've owned. My only complaint is that there aren't more action titles like Ninja Gaiden and Contra.Quote:

Holy crap. Something else I've noticed about the DS is the amount of discontinued games... Why? Some of the games released in 05, 06, and even 07 are already out of print. I don't get that. Isn't that a bit of a short run for some of those games? From what I can tell, the older PSP games aren't out of print. What's the deal here?

Really? What games in particular are you referring to?
I can only think of three DS games off the top of my head that fall into the "L@@K!! R@REZ!!!!!!" category: Tetris DS, Kirby Canvas Curse, and Electroplankton.
I still see many older games in stores today.
Still see them new or used? I'm mean games that are no longer being manufactured, at least according to Amazon, not to say can't still be found new.Quote:

Well, that pretty much blows me out of the water. I forgot about most of those titles. Advance Wars: Dual Strike is another one that was at least one time fetching quite a price on Ebay.
I was lucky enough to find a sweet bundle on Ebay a couple years back that included a DS Lite with eleven or twelve games (most of which happened to be titles that I was looking for, like Animal Crossing, Castlevania DS, Metroid Prime Hunters, and Tetris DS).
It all depends on the region I guess. You can walk into any store in Ontario that sells DS games and find Tetris DS and Kirby Canvas Curse brand new (with about 5+ copies left).Quote:

Another thing, I've heard that a lot of recent Sonic titles are crap. Does this include the DS ones?
