Nintendo DS & Sony PSP

I don't have many DS games, and don't use it that much either. I bought Tetris, Mario Kart and Animal Crossing in the first week I had it, and Elite Beat Agents, Electroplankton and Ouendan later on (all £5 each).

When I do occasionally use the DS, it'll be for Tetris or Elite Beats/Ouendan. Mario Kart didn't take long to complete to death (and wifi has too many cheaters / quitters to make it worthwhile) and I got tired of Animal Crossing - after I collected nearly all the things, there was nothing else to do. I'm sure my place is a cockroach ridden, weed-filled craphole by now. :)

I used to have Starfox Command (so disappointing) Sonic Rush (not bad, aside from the shitty bosses of tedium) and Bleach: The Blade of Fate. I gave the first 2 away, and don't know what happened to Bleach. :/

So... yeah.

Elite Beat Agents/Ouendan is sooooooooo good.

Um... anyone here going to get the new Pokemon remakes coming out this weekend?

Is it more of the same?
Pokemon needs a serious overhaul in the gameplay.

Look at Rune Factory compared to Harvest Moon. I'm sure Pokemon could work some 'other genre' into the game play to kick some life into it. I'm thinking 'Wild Arms' with a lot more action sequences.

They have tried new things with Pokemon, the fans just bitched for more of the same. I actually liked Mystery Dungeon and Ranger, but I also like the main series. Whatever though, I'm sure they will experiment a bit with the 5th generation of Pokemans.

Oh, and that picture is kinda strange. It's actually HeartGold and SoulSilver, unless they had some last minute change that I missed. I think I would like Solid Gold more than Heart Gold though.

Licensing and using the Mystery Dungeon franchise isn't exactly what I would call 'innovating' to a series.

Yeah, I suppose you're right. I think it's a step in the right direction though. I would really like to see some other innovations in the series, but I'm not even sure if it will be happening any time soon. They finally listened to all of the fans who said "We want our Pokemon to follow us like in Yellow", so atleast we know they are listening....it just took them about half a decade.

I just got one of these in today and I have to say: every PSP owner should own a grip extender. This makes the PSP infinitely easier to hold for people with big hands and makes it feel like a big PSX controller rather than a pancake with buttons on the edges. The triggers are still hard to hit comfortably, but you can reposition your hands if a game has heavy use of them. I was surprised at how solid this thing was for only being a little over $3 shipped on eBay. Even better, you can still use the power adapter and A/V cables, etc without removing it from the grip. You can also use a PSP Fat battery by just removing the cover and putting on the grip (I don't think there's room for the Fat battery cover to fit too). Awesome.

Reminds me a lot of the grip extension for the Wii Classic Controller, which also sold for around $3 in shops over here. My only problem with buying a grip is that it takes away portability. Of course, there's a lot of times when I do simply play on the couch at home, so it would serve a purpose.

What kind of good? I see this game in bargain bins everywhere. I've never liked Rhythm or music games and have always wondered why people liked Parappa, Rez, Guitar Hero or ANY games like that. Is Elite Beat Agents still a fun game even though it's a Rhythm game?

Where the hell are those two called "Solid Gold" and "Pure Silver"? WHERE?! I'm so sick and tired of hearing the gay ass North American names (Heart Gold, Soul Silver)...

Anyway, I'm not a fan of remakes too much and the ONLY Pokemon generations I like are 1st and 2nd. I'd rather grab the original versions than the DS remakes.
