first of all, what portability? You sure as hell can't fit a PSP in your pocket practically. Unless you walk like a stick figure you'll crack the screen in no time. The grip also slides together to a more compact form factor, there's no reason it wouldn't fit in a messenger bag or something no problem. Either way, I have my iPhone for actual portable use, my PSP is for playing while watching TV mostly, so it's perfect for me.

The PSP is a Monster Hunter machine. The main selling points for the PSP are its modding/emulation capabilities and Monster Hunter Freedom. Monster Hunter isn't for everyone. While the PSP is the superior hardware, I can see why some people would prefer the DS for its lineup.

I myself prefer the PSP, but handhelds never occupy much of my gaming time regardless.

I jsut bought sum A/V cables for my PSP and im kinda shocked that it doesn't fill up the whole screen. Anybody play in import PSP games though?

It's never full screen for games, import or not.

YEah I know that even when my N95 is in landscape mode it does the same thing. I was talking about imports for other reasons though.

Well the PSP is region free, it plays imports no problem unless they're UMD movies. I picked up 2 games for it from Sweden since SCEA were idiots for the past 5 years & never released them here.

It's probably because your TV doesn't like you for hooking a Saturn up to it, lol.

Are you using an HDTV (you have to be with a 2000, but 3000s work with CRTs)? See if you have a zoom feature, most have digital zoom for DVDs that are in 4:3 widescreen and need to be zoomed to fill the screen. Is there a video showing PSP games being played on a video out? I havent used mine on an HDTV, so ive only played movies and psx games with it.

Rather than use a pocket (since some clothes don't even HAVE pockets), I got a carry case made of leather that attaches to a belt. That's much better for carrying around your PSP than sticking it in a pocket.

note to everyone: unless you are doing construction of some sort, any accessories on your belt is completely unacceptable if you ever want to get laid. This includes: cell phones, game systems, fanny packs, sunglasses cases, etc.
