I know, I've owned both a Fz-1 and Fz-10. I know they have a vast array of games other than fmv. The D pad and rubbery buttons are for shit, always have been regardless of what it was cloned off of.
But:
A) I love to bash the 3DO.
B) Just about ''every other'' game that came out for the 3DO also came out on the Genesis...out of this world, lemmings, cannon fodder (mega drive) etc.
C) I HATE the daisy chain idea, it sucks horribly. Period.
Elusive is right, defending one system or attacking another is pointless because deep inside, we're all closet homos.

5. Power supply. I probably could have powered my whole apartment with the juice this thing took.
4. Microsoft. Their stake in it made me feel dirty all over.
3. Just felt like a big waste of time with my Wii sitting there.
2. Maybe I'm just picky, but I just didn't have the same "WOW" factor that I had when I got my first Nintendo, Genesis, etc. Hell, the Sega CD filled me with more awe 6 months prior to the 360 purchase.
1. You've gotta buy an additional hard drive to play original Xbox games? Wow, what a rip off.
Those are just my thoughts. I'm probably wrong on at least three of them, but whatever. I did sell it 3 months later though. And I NEVER sell my old systems!*
*Except for the original Xbox when I needed money to move cross-country.
3DO was a pretty shitting machine in general (software wise). And yeah, that controller was total ass. I have no choice but to give you a thumbs up - :ok:Quote:

And really most of the Multi-format ports on 3DO blew the Mega Drive's versions away so they were still worth buying if you didn't own the originals already.
Always thought it was a fantastic idea, especially with the Capcom Pad which had the chain port at the end of the lead, what was it about the idea that you didn't like? I always thought having six players without the need for an extra multi-tap accessory was great personally.Quote:

It was different with 3DO though, I remember reading an article on it, the 3DO company designed the hardware and then different companies manufactured it, but of course companies like Panasonic and Goldstar weren't particularly interested in making money off the gaming side of things so they just bumped the price of the console up.Quote:

I've actually been thinking about getting a 3DO lately. I never bothered because I figured most of its games were on Genesis or Playstation/Saturn. But it has some games that seem enticing:

Guardian War is a weird one, it's addicting but I don't know why, it's got no proper story to speak of which should really kill it as an RPG but I found myself wanting to upgrade and collect all the characters.
Dragon's Lore is ultra beardy RPG stuff, masses of stats and spells, quite complicated and a lot of dialogue, it's one of those games where you point at a direction and a movie of you walking to where you point comes up, it's actually possible that it's a really good game I don't really have the patience for it at the moment.
Crash N' Burn isn't very good, it was probably impressive graphics for the time but just sucks now, it was always a critically panned game anyway even at the time.
Hell, Night Trap and Kingdom the Far reaches are all supposed to be awful I think, so I've never actually bothered with them.
Star Control 2 is one of the greatest games ever made.
Trip'd is great fun in multi-player but we're really talking about your basic Puyo Puyo clone with a few differences here.
Shockwave 2 is cool but really difficult, i'm actually quite liking it these days and am intending to raise it's placing in my top 40 3DO games when I get around to it
I'm looking to play Lost Eden myself actually, I've seen some love for it online and recently I was looking through an entire site dedicated to 3DO version of the game so I'm really hoping to expand my list.
There's a whole load of games you're still not looking at though Killing Time is actually a great game full of depth and atmosphere for instance as well as all the Japanese imports.
Whilst looking through your list of games though one thing does become apparent, you've picked a whole bunch of games that are quite inaccesible and take a lot of time to get into, so if you're seeing this as a quick gaming check up of the system then it might not be worth your time (something like Immercenary takes a good 2 hours to get into and starts off quite disorientating, after you take down the first guardian it starts to become as addictive as crack though), if you have more of a love of gaming as well as patience and perseverance then you may well love many of the games on the list.
