for all those people like me that can't stand being lumped in with the stone-washed-jean plain-white-sneaker dragon-shirt-wearing basement-living d-bags, proudly disperse this around the internet and maybe, just maybe, we'll get the damn MMORPG players out of video games so us normal people won't look so bad. I will soon make this a shirt to proudly voice my feelings toward the lamest thing ever to happen to video games.
Hmm. That's ambitious, for sure. You'll get some laughs no doubt, but it will ultimately be about as effective as walking into a crackhouse and saying "Hey! Stop that!"
WOW is crack for kids born in the 90's. You simply can't trust kids not born in the 80's. Period. I mean, they're just weird.
They think our precious 16 bit systems are lame. Well, back in my day not only did I have to walk to school up hill both ways through 5 miles of 2 foot deep snow, I had cartridges for my games. Back then that's all we needed, and we did just fine on our own. We didn't have ways to save our games, we even had to have a pen and paper to write passwords down.
These spoiled '90ers, why they gots no erpreciation for patience. Like starting a game over 20 times from the beginning 'for ya beat it.
What is America coming to? Buncha little kids who don't think they gotta earn nothin' that's what dag nabbit!
Us children of the 80's know where it's at. 70's kids are lame too, not only did they have Jimmy Carter but you couldn't even BEAT the video games from back then. It was just high scores! How lame is that?!
LOL! WoW isn't even a game though, its like a fucking losertown 3D chat room, that's all it is. Fighting consists of clicking your mouse button, WHOOPIDY DOO! I'l like to see what these kids would do if you handed them Mega Man 2, they'd probably cry and say stuff like "that's not fair, he can dodge my shots! I can't just click on him till he dies!" I despise everything about what MMORPGs have done to video games, regular RPGs were bad enough, but MMORPGs just took it to another level of stupid. The funniest thing is that WoW is like a job that you don't get paid for: run around doing tedious tasks and then trading what you find for some kind of money and then going back out and doing...more tedious tasks, WTF IS THE POINT!?!?!?!?!Quote:

My first room mate in college flunked out playing WOW. That's all he did. He literally, no joke, sold his WOW account on ebay for $200 for gas money so he could get back home after he flunked out. He actually got the money too. I couldn't believe it. I was like, I could buy a PS2 or something with that money and some loser forked out $200 for a damn online account. How lame.

The game is probably the worst MMORPG ever created. It takes no skill what so ever and has absolutely no penalty for dying.
The game is pathetic. I mean I used to play Diablo I & II online, Warcraft III (The Strategy game), I still play Ultima Online Hybrid (Free Server) , and WoW does not hold a candle to ANY of these games.
All you do is run around and beat up deers, bandits, and boars like in that South Park episode. The "Raids" are nothing more that beating up more...thats right....MORE boars, deers, and bandits so that at the end you can roll a die and see if you get some shoes or something.
I played it for about a year and it was the most disappointing MMO I have ever played.
When you die you don't lose any experience (Meaning everyone on the freakin server is top level. It takes about a week to get a guy up to the top level so like I said NO SKILL INVOLVED WHAT SO EVER). It doesn't matter if you have good gear at all and PVP is a freakin joke. All you have to do is click on the thing you want to bash, press the "attack" button and run after it. Its a game for people with social problems who have trouble communicating face to face with any other life form on this planet. IT breeds anti-social behavior and forms a false reality based ON CRAP.
Plus you have to pay $15.00 a month to be exiled from the rest of society.
This asshole / loser I used to know lost 4 years of his life on that and EverQuest. He probably still plays it. I remember when he used to come late to the bar because he had to go kill Lava Golems with his online freak friends.

lol, its like reading the ol Cranky Kong from Donkey Kong Country: "back in my day, we were lucky if we had 2 on screen colors!" I really wish save state technology was better/more widespread back in those days, there were a handful of units that could freeze the code so you could come back later, but most didn't work very well and had lots of bugs or errors when you loaded the state. To this day I still hate that most games didn't have a save function (except sports games, who gives a shit about your gay little batting average?) because I don't even start playing them unless I have at least 2 hours to devote to it.Quote:

Ive never played it, but I remember liking war craft 2 on the geek box back in the day. I never played any where near as much as those dudes though. Back when I had a X-box I got hooked on morrow wind, the one before oblivion. I played it for whole days at a time. I never even tried to play the story I just created an Orc and went town to town lootin and plundering. After about a month I vowed never to play it again.:) . I gave it to my older brother and he also got hooked on it and he is primarily a sports game kinda guy. He had the same symptoms that I did and came to the same conclusion, the damn game is evil. I think I may have even dreamed about morrowind one time.
Come to think of it I think that might be the game that turned me off to new game consoles and massive 3D games in general. I quit buying new games and started getting more old school games like pc engine games etc
The real thing is that the game looks great but it sucks. It has none of the hallmarks of a real RPG. Its not challenging at all. There are ZERO penalties in the game for dying. Whoever said that all it is is a giant 3D chat room is right. Its dumb. At least in Diablo II (which in itself was extremely repetitive) was somewhat challenging at higher levels. I never got passed level 88. This game is completely useless in all MMORPG categories.
