I also had the vertical lines while using RF connection, So i bought a RGB-SCART cable which gives me perfect image. They arent expensis, isnt this an option for u?
grimm has a SCART cable but still has the same issue which makes me believe he got a shitty cable. Probably gets color bleeding and oversaturation as well, which would hint at composite + rgb being output and displayed simultaneously.
@grimm: A photo would definitely confirm my theory.
I cant take good photos since i only have a 2mp mobile phone camera. I get no colour bleeding at all so no its pure rgb output. but the seller tells me it has to do with the upscaling in my tv. he has tried his cables on several lcd's and its the same on all of them. i get no vertical lines on crt. he told me a scart to hdmi upscaler will solve the problem.
I hate HDTV sometimes.
its a scart rbg cable, not just scart btw. this one to be specific: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWNX:IT
I have an S-video modded Genesis and an HD TV and still notice faint vertical banding on some solid colors. With an SNES, using S-video on an HD TV, I notice similar banding, but in a diagonal direction. I just figured this had something to do with how each system processes it's picture. Both are very clear, sharp and colorful, so I don't mind the slight banding.
I honestly don't notice any problems with mine other than a strange green border on 1-2 sides of the picture on some games which I assume has something to do with underscan
I also have the diagonal bands/interference with my SNES, especially when using the Neo Myth flash cart (maybe because of an additional power drain). Even in RGB you can still see it, although it's not as noticeable as it is through S-Video.
The Genesis through RGB has no interference whatsoever, much better RGB picture than the SNES from what I've seen.
