The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - now with modded gold cartridge!

For as long as I can remember, it's driven me nuts that A Link to the Past is one of the best games in the Zelda series, and yet it was the only one released on a cart-based console that didn't get the illustrious gold cartridge treatment. Well, today I took matters into my own hands, and modded my copy of the game to look closer in line to what I felt it ought to. Half a can of spray enamel and a sheet of metallic paper later, I got what I wanted.

The cartridge absolutely glows in the beauty of its new reflective sheen. And best of all, the label is printed on metallic paper, it has a holographic effect similar to what you see on a lot of fancy DVD case. Here's an alternate angle to give you some idea as to how it looks.

At long last, A Link to the Past can stand with its siblings proudly on a shelf, knowing that it does not look out of place. That's one less thing that will keep me up at night. :)

By the looks of things you have done yourself a fine job there! That sort of thing bugs me as well and I too would be kept up at night.
