Is it just me or is Quackshot really long? I've never been able to beat it, got all the way up the Viking Level and fell of the flying birds and died and no continue :S.

Fun but not as fun as the original. I thought the gameplay suffered from being shoehorned into the Civil War storyline too. "LOTS OF CHARACTERS!" loses a lot of luster when half of them are cut off halfway through the game. The Fusion attacks were a whole lot of "meh" as well. I'll play again as a pro-reg team, but this is definitely a step down from the first game.

A blast with a group and really so-so on your own. I wish the game had more variety of enemies, but overall it's an awesome experience. I can't wait for the sequel.
Melf, did you find Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 really not as fun as the original??
That makes me sad, I was thinking of getting it. :?
I ask you because I couldn't play the first one to the end.
It was sooooo boring that I gave up in that Asgard level....

From the Toaplan Shooting Battle compilation I looped Tiger-Heli
The 3rd game is Cho Aniki for the PC Engine CD - the first one on a controversial series
The 4th game is Soukyugurentai (Terra Diver), the "Otokuyo" release
I enjoyed the original more because it was an original storyline. Part 2 is the Civil War story, so it's more linear. Half the heroes are locked, depending on what side you pick, and the lack of classic costumes (I'm a MAJOR '80s comics fan) really turned me off.
It's a great game though, but the original had much more fan service, which is what a comic-based game should shoot for, imo.

Excellent first person adventure game for the DS. Not much gameplay but I really enjoyed the translation. Takes about 15 hours to complete all six cases. The game takes itself seriously but includes some nice humour when appropriate.

I beat Lords of Thunder on my MCD some days ago... the game is too easy, but music is soooo awesome. I wonder why PCE game is having such inferior soundtrack.... ?

Golden Axe - Not as 'grand' as Streets of Rage 1 or two (as I didn't need to sit down and have a rest afterwards!), but it's a legend... and how awesome is the credits music! :)
I think it took me a couple hours to get through Quackshot, all told. Maybe two and a half to three hours. It was quite a bit longer than I had initially expected. I really like the adventure game elements that they put in the game, I think it makes it stand out among the myriad of regular old platformers available for the Genesis.
Golden Axe II
WOW! What a surprising ending theme (music). I love the whole music from Golden Axe, but I've never played it on Normal before. Beating it in Normal gives you the good ending, I guess. Not very challenging indeed, as some have said. But, again. I loved that ending thematic. :D
Bump. This thread needs to survive. Lol
-Metal Slug (SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1 - PS2)
-Top Hunter (SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1 - PS2)
-Berenstain Bears (Sega Genesis)-(Don't ask, lol).
Today I beat this:

Somehow I thought it'd be longer and more difficult. I just bought it last night!
