Lol, just youtubed the video and i see what you mean.
The snowboarding lasts for about 12 seconds and is completely "on rails". It doesn't let you lov it.
It always brings a smile to my face.
And Sonic 1 had 3 acts per zone.
No shit sherlock ;)
Sonic 3 may have had longer levels but it still only gave you ten minutes to get through them  A real pain on Carnival Night 2 IIRC.
I can say I prefer the ending credits theme for "Sonic 3" over the one in S&K.
Eh, now for a real proper post.
My first Sonic game was indeed Sonic 3 and Knuckles, or rather, the Sonic and Garfield collection (Australia only, find the dump or move to Australia) and honestly, Sonic 2 really pales in comparason (No offense to anyone, but while it is creative in its own right, it does NOT hold up against Sonic 3 and Knuckles very well) and Sonic 1? Don't expect it to be a Sonic 3 and Knuckles and you have a real gem. =P
Also, PC music>MD music when using an FM sound card.
Lol, i found it, just can't link it to your name properly, heheheQuote:

Can't find the quote button? :P
Sonic 1,2 3+K are all fantastic games.
I could play through any of them right now, in fact i might.
If i had to choose my fave i'd probably have to go with Sonic 2 though personally.
I think it's a little more fun throughout, none of the levels really feel like chore (although oil ocean has its moments).
It's a tough decision to be fair though.
These Sonic classics are all gems
The only zone I found tedious in Sonic 2 was Hilltop Zone. And I could have used a little less Metropolis Zone.
But other than that, Sonic 2 was perfection.
This is a bit of a necro but I have a passion for keeping things together...
In honor of the 25th anniversary of Sonic 3's Hedgehog Day, I put together a little piece on my site.
Do you guys feel old yet?
Damn, it's amazing how much money Sega spent on marketing during that era. How much did it cost to basically buy Groundhog Day?
It really contrasts with how games are marketed nowadays (the internet is all that matters).
Happy Birthday, Sonic 3!
After time, knowing that the day was just a way to purchase the game, really must have been a great day out for those looking forward to it.
