I agree. I vote in sticky-ing this thread so many others may come across this thread and bitch about the evil corporation known as [COMPANY%NAME]
A Team? Team my ass, more like a dominion of demons who make [CONSOLE%TITLE] games out of the tears and cries of [GENRE%DESCRIPTION] gamers.
"A 2D sequel to a 1994 videogame? *slaps forehead* why didn't we think of that earlier! We'll get right on it, thanks a lot forum posters!"
Here's an idea, Sonic Team: A new 2D Sonic game for consoles! You know, like the first 4 and Sonic CD. Wait, you probably have no idea what those are. They were before your time. Seriously, why won't they do that? Is it because 2D games are too "simple" for a console? Only 3D is feasible? They'll do anything to Sonic now. Anything but return him to his roots. Sonic has become a complete discrace. The 2D handheld games are the only ones that don't get universally panned. You think they'd have gotten it by now. Oh, and one more thing: His name is ROBOTNIK, not Eggman.
I don't see why a 2D Sonic game is unfeasible if it's handled the right way, just so long as they don't go all the way and make it a sprite-based game.
I think Sega should let the Thunder Force VI team do a Sonic game in the same pseudo-3D style. Seeing as Sonic games sell no matter how good they are it sounds like a winning idea from our point-of-view and theirs. It would probably be cheaper to make than a normal Sonic game, and it would get rave reviews. Then perhaps they can let Sonic team do something else (or save some of that money they're losing and.. er... lay them all off. Alas, I have a feeling the opposite is more likely to happen).
I was also thinking of Sonic Rush. The game got mixed reviews, though this one seems to favor the title, but some didn't like the offscreen enemies that appeared, much like Contra 4.
Monthy Pyton black knight is much more awesome.
People who don't like Martin Lawrence?
I'm pouring none out for my homie, Sonic's been gone for some time now. He's not getting any of my forty ouncer. I hate to waste my beer.
