I'll take Darkstalkers and Street Fighter over SNK fighters any day, though I do like King o' Fighters. It doesn't have that silly "multiple planes" nonsense/gimmick that Fatal Fury does... just straight fighting with good characters. Also, I find the special moves in SNK fighters a pain in the ass to pull off most of the time. There is zero room for forgiveness, you must move the pad in more directions and timing is down to the nanosecond. How people find that fun is beyond me.

King of Fighters: I almost want to call it Fatal Fury: Tournament Edition, because that's what it feels like. I don't find the special moves to be hard to pull off, definitely easier than Street Fighter II (original versions, HD Remix is cake). I think that should be part of the challenge, I hate fighters with easy special moves, they are SPECIAL MOVES, they should require a fine touch to pull off properly. Capcom games just turn into a clusterfuck of special moves to the point you can't even tell whats going on anymore, blech. When special moves are easy, there is no reason for regular moves anymore, so whats the point?Quote:

Oh yeah, where is that avatar dolphin from? You said somewhere it was from a Neo Geo game, but I've never seen any game with that dolphin before.
It's from Aerofighters/Sonic Wings a very good...not excellent...shooter series for the Neo Geo.

Eric Chahi developed Out of This World but delphine owned the rights to it until he personally bought them back when delphine went bankrupt.
Hence, SNK probably purchased the rights when they made the agreement to publish and distribute the game. Which is why their name is on it.
Quick History
The former president of SNK left before they originally went under around 2000 right after the first Capcom Vs SNK. He went on to form Playmore. When he had heard SNK went under he bought the IP and renamed his company SNK Playmore. Doing so he took much of the talent with him. So SNK is still SNK jus with the added Playmore title.
ADK (Alpha Denshi Company) was almost like a 2nd party developer for the Neo Geo. When they went bankrupt, SNK decided to buy the rights to there intellectual properties.Quote:
