Try MobyGames, you should find scans for all the covers you've listed there.
Almost all are LOW quality grainy scans, cannot read small print, or it really blurry even after photoshoping.Quote:

Damn! I though I could make it work....Its just too much interference from the flames in the pics and text...Had to redo alot...like the whole background among top much other stuff likeall the text was redone. I think the the resolution was just too low. But thanks for helping...I really tried. I might use the rework if I get desperate..... it aint the worst Ive seen.

If you look below at the original you'll see what I mean about the evil pixels.
Its like tv scanlines that go threw the whole thing that really cause havok with any type of coloring or selecting in photoshop. At least I got rid of that spine glare.

There is just too much work that needs to be done and it still wont look "original" so I give up...

I can scan SoTBII at a higher resolution which should be rid of some or all of the moire' effect.
That would help greatly....Im starting to like the remake...I have to stop looking at it, I dont want it...lol
Well, you've made some areas solid colors instead of the finely detailed patterned colors they really should be (like the flaming background in the main front cover picture).
Yeah couldnt get that wave pattern out..Its just from the scanner/resolution..caused to much interference, I did all I could with that one. Better scan would do the trick. I just hated redoing all that text more than anything...blah nothing match right..lots of resizing...But the back flames..eventho they suck they were fun to make. Im sure to use it in some other art later.Quote:

The only problem with The cover project is that the scans don't fit the original Genesis boxes, only the Universal Game Case, though I've never downloaded one.
A couple months ago I set out to find the boxes and artwork for all my loose games. I checked three different video game stores and found a bunch of empty boxes at one store and made photocopies of all the games I needed from that and the other two stores.
Here's what I found.

Yeah finding good scans is a real freakin pain...And when you do find them they are horrible quality..lol
Yeah Alien Syndrome was in rough shape. It had kind of a yellowish water stain along the bottom, but a rough box is better than no box.
What happens to all the boxes any way? I can't beleive how many loose games are out there. I was thinking of buying some universal game cases but the shipping was outrageous it was like $50 for ten and $350 for 100. I thought they would be good for my Atari 2600 games and games for the Genesis that never came with a plastic case like Power Rangers etc.
Maybe it's just a Canadian thing or just this particular company.
I got mine for $1 apeice when I ordered some vectrex games...maybe it is canada,,,who knew..lol
I just got about 50 empty cases. 10 are kinda garbage 2o are good with some scuffing 15 were passable with an insert in them 5 were excelent...those cost about a buck a peice too..I sometimes just buy a cheap $1-2 game for a case.
Wow, you're into Vectrex too, I've had my Vectrex and most of the games since I was 10 in 1984.

Yeah Im into eveything but Nintendo. I have done boxes for Any system I own at one point or time..Mostly Homebrew games or Protos that never had a box for them.

Very cool stuff. It's nice to have the original artwork and it's also cool to create something new, either just tweaked or completely different fom the original design. Its especially cool to create something for stuff that did'nt have a box to begin with.
I was in a video game store yesterday and mentioned to another customer that I was looking for all the Genesis and Master System box inserts that I did'nt have and photocopying them for my loose games. He did'nt seem to like the idea, he said that if it's not the original cover, that it's not even worth doing. I told him that you can barely tell that it's not the original. He said but still, if it's not the original, he'd rather leave the games loose.
Aww, damn, I'd REALLY like a scan of Virtua Racing(I have the game and a box, but no cover). I've been looking EVERYWHERE for one, but could only find for the Japanese and European versions.
Hey Ace, I might have found a scan of Virtua Racing you might be interested in. I'm not sure if you've seen it or not, but is on The Cover Project under "Raw Cover Scans". Just click on this tab, then click Sega Genesis and scroll down, it's 2nd from the bottom. It's the North American version and it's not perfect since it's in the Raw Cover Scans section, but it looks pretty good to me and I imagine someone will eventually clean it up to look like new, if you're picky about your covers.

I actually found two copies of this game at two of the three video game stores I checked in my area, both were ten bucks, but I'm glad I did'nt buy the first one because the clear plastic was coming apart from the box and the manual was missing. The second one was in nice shape.
I just found another one. There's a scan of Virtua Racing on a site called "Genesis Collective Game Index" and nonner, if you read this and you're still looking for some of those titles, I think they have all of them except Back up Ram Cart and MUSHA. Not sure if you know about these scans or if they're any good, but I thought I'd throw this out to you guys.
The collective site has lots of scans ...but the quality is so sub par you cannot fix the from what I have seen so far...Thx tho

I have a US copy of Zany Golf but the box is a little beat up. It's an actual box though, so I'm not sure what to scan, do you just want the front cover?
The front would be just fine, and a few scratches/worn edges wouldn't matter as long as all of the artwork is visible :)
