There are TWO bonus tracks. Twice as good as one!

I just got a copy of VR for the Saturn a few days ago but when in the replay mode is there supposed to be music playing? It seems odd that there is no music playing and the disk drive makes a constant disk seek noise, is that normal?
Edit: When I got the game I had work in the disk to get it to work, it would only boot up as a music CD, I found that it had a plastic rub transfer over the security ring I ended up getting off with the use of Rain X and a cotton rag, works as it should now but I wanted to ask about above question about the replay music.
There's a lot of moments with VR on the Saturn where you won't hear music. It's very odd.
Well, I have only found this to be the case in the replay mode every time I use it. But I have been spending most of my time in the Grand Prix mode and have only had the game for three days.
Edit: Now that think of the only the only time I do hear music for a spit second is when go to exit the replay mode.
Edit #2: By the way I like the handling in this version and the Grand Prix mode is fun.
I'll try to remember to try the game when I get home to check, I've got a Saturn hooked up right now.
My only main gripe with this game is that in the main game mode there are too many laps per race. You end up getting first place after two laps and then it's a time trial for 10 minutes since the gokarts are so slow, and you have to do a LOT of racing to get to the faster cars.
Playing arcade mode with the Saturn wheel is pretty damn fun.
To get to Coupes only took three races I think than it asks "Do you want to Graduate" "yes/no" the same to get to the Formula 160s I did fail to move onto the GT Prototypes. It takes 20 points to move to Coupe, 30 points to go to F-160, 40 points to GTP and 50 to F-1.
"Playing arcade mode with the Saturn wheel is pretty damn fun" Yeah, I don't have one. :| Maybe someday? But it is silly the wheel doesn't have escalator (ha ha that's funny... meant to spell accelerator, but you knew that ;)) and brake peddles so one is left using small buttons on the wheel it self.
Honestly, the wheel isn't worth unless you find it for cheap. I prefer using a pad in most games. The sensitivity in it is terrible, you'll be crashing a lot until you get used to it. VR is one of the few games that it feels good on.
Played some races in both Grand Prix and Arcade modes, and I got no music in replay in either mode. When you exit you hear one or two drum beats and that's it. My guess is that it's supposed to play but it's a glitch. A lot of the early Saturn games were rushed and have issues.
Thank you for taking the to report on this. Now I know it is normal.
Edit: GohanX, I really do appreciate you taking the time to check and than report your findings. It was bugging me I was not sure the disk was more messed up than it looked.
Hey, you got me to try the game, and I'm actually enjoying playing through Grand Prix mode. I sure wish they had 5 laps instead of 10 in each race, but when you get to the faster cars is not as much of a headache.
It's really not as bad as they make it to be but than again I'm a big fan of racing games among others. After one passes the first place leader you have to navigate lap traffic to the finish line so there is most of the time something to race against. The go karts aren't that slow they have a top speed of 90 miles an hour but the fastest are the V8 GT Prototypes at 230MPH oddly, one would think the V12 Formula 1s that top out at 200MPH would be the fastest.
Edit: The AI drives are not always on the race line and they also make mistakes, I have come around a corner to find a racer stopped in the middle of the track on more than one occasion... that definitely adds to the fun.
