Who Shot Johnny Rock. I thought it was just my Sega CD having issues but indeed is the game.
EDIT: Here I uploaded a video of the game for those who never seen this game. My capture card is crap so I used my DV cam.

The Secret of Monkey Island's load times were agonizing. Same with Willy Beamish. These are the worst offenders I've found, and just about the only instances I can think of where I've given up on a game due to the load times.
Well its not on Sega Cd but...my nomination would be for Shinning Tears on Ps2. I stopped playing it the load time was so horrible and I love those types of games. If they ever make a Ps2 emulator that kills all load time I may try it again.
I remember Timesplitters for PS2 being REALLY bad, but then again I played it more recently and it didn't seem nearly as long. Maybe the PS2 I played it on the first time was having CD read problems?
The Adventures of Willy Beamish. The load times make it almost unplayable!
Super Street Fighter Alpha 2 Turbo HD Remix on SNES.
http://www.systemwars.com/forums/ima...s/happysad.gif I wish you guys stuck to only Sega CD games.
I think his PS2 may have just been bad, that or he may have been using a cheat device, I can't remember. All I know is that I ate ice cream in the time it took to start loading and actually get to gameplay back then. Like I said though, more recently it only took like 5-10 seconds on my PS2.
edit: are you sure its not just a bad scratch on the disc causing multiple re-reads? how long does it take to load it from an ISO on fusion? usually load times will be the same on Fusion as they are IRL (which is kinda cool, even better, if you don't like it, you can fast forward through it, cool stuff).
Wow! :o I have not seen a game with this much loading times, even on a sega cd.
Most PS2 games have longer loading times, than most Sega CD games, though. ;)
Sonic the Hedgehog on 360 has horrific load times.
Soldier of Fortune 2 on Dreamcast is even worse. Makes the game totally unplayable.
I don't know much about the Sega CD, but the following ones have really horrible loading times:
X-Men - Next Dimension (PS2) - the loading ruins what otherwise would be a killer game in all aspects. It's still a very solid fighter though, I'll play it over any Soul Calibur or Tekken any time.
DonPachi (Saturn) - annoying, annoying, annoying
DoDonPachi DOJ BLEX (Xbox 360) - ahn... the main reason why the game was taken out of the shelves? urgh
So can we stick to Sega CD games now? BTW Hook had long ass loads times. At least Willy Beamish had that mingame wiggle thingy.
Powermonger, Sega CD: unplayable due to long load times and very often...or at least that's my experience in the 2 minutes before I threw the controller down and banished the game from the realm.
Worst loading times ever?
Sonic Next Gen for the 360/PS3.
NHL '94 takes a while to load as well.
Willy Beamish is absolutely unplayable due to the load times. Horrible programmers on that one. That game should never have been released.
I also stopped playing Shining Force 3 on the Saturn due to how slow it was. Maybe not due to the load times alone (they were pretty bad and there were lots of them) but the game just crawled at a snail's pace as well. Took me FOREVER to even get to the first god damned battle and then to finally get out of the first town. Certainly not a true Shining Force game!
I think I got more use out of my system using the power base converter playing the older master system games than anything else. Wonder Boy anyone?
^ I really think the guy above is a spambot posting random stuff harvested from other websites:

You are correct. I've documented it and reported it: it's stealing posts from other sites and putting them here--sometimes they're almost on-topic, other times not so much. It's also changed it's avatar yet again. I reported this post, I suggest everyone else do the same every time it does this.
The above post is taken verbatim from another forum, posted about a year ago:

KILL IT!!!!!!!!
Squashed. Anyone whose profile reads "Biography: Man" is a spambot. Plus the username is so odd that it screams spammer as well.
The beginnings are slow, since they're trying to add "story" to them (from 3 overlapping perspectives), but the down-time isn't bad after that through most of the scenarios. The gameplay of the battles is improved and much more balanced, so you waste less time during the 'real' game sections.
Of course, most people seem to prefer having long useless walking sections between fights and criticize SFCD for lacking them.
