ME3mp is my most played game. Basically I'm at a point where I've started doing solo speedrunning on hardest (Platinum) difficulty too. I've just started, so my fasted time is 36min, but all the other players who's had a head start soloing Platinum are all getting and aiming for sub-20's with various kits, setups, and maps. So replay value is through the roof for many of us. Too bad it's online servers won't last forever.

Great topic! Man way too many games come to mind, but I'll try to narrow it down to : zombies ate my neighbors, T2 arcade, super hang on(been playing it a lot lately), outrun, galaxy force 2, lucky n wild, smash tv, total carnage, and splat. Maybe not the best examples of timeless classics, but definitely games that I never seem to tire of.

Some of the sequels/prequels are also good.
I have to imagine this is dependent on personal taste.
For example, some 15 years ago, I probably would have never imagined I would stop playing Fire Pro Wrestling D. At the time I was way more into wrestling than I am now(though I do have one show I keep up with).
I'll probably always keep at it with the like of Streets of Rage 2, Alien Soldier, maybe the Punch-Out! games, and maybe even some wrestling games going forward, but I'll probably be a lot more off and on about it, than daily.
It is a VERY deep game, so yeah if you get a more advanced Fire Pro game like Super Fire Pro X Premium on Snes or FPW-D on Dreamcast or Fire Pro Returns on PS2/PS3 then as a wrestling fan you're set for a loooong time.Quote:

I just had a mini marathon with my 800XL. Chock full of games with endless replayability. Sierra Frogger, Pac Man Arcade, Asteroids, Centipede Arcade, Battlezone got the most time tonight.
Not to be a negative nancy, but I don't believe in "infinite replay value." Yes, there are factors that can enhance or increase a game's replay value, such as randomized events, multiple level layouts, high difficulty settings, etc., but in the end, all games will eventually wear out their welcome.
Now, to present a game in which I believe has an extremely high replay value, I would suggest Elona. If you've never heard of it, it's a Japanese Roguelike that takes heavy amounts of influence from Ancient Domains of Mystery and adds a bunch of content and silliness to the equation. The game presents an absolute ton of things to keep you busy so that you never run out of things to do, and its sense of humor never ceases to amuse me. For instance, a player can set up a farm for the sole purpose of raising and harvesting young girls for meat and resources, which is darkly hilarious, women's underwear are throwing weapons that cause elemental damage that forces enemies to commit suicide, and the jobs the local townfolk want you to do for them can range from anything to sensible to downright inane:

I've literally sank days after days of playing this game. It really is the kind of game you think you'll just spend five minutes on before you go to bed, only to realize that it's suddenly five in the morning.
I don't believe in infinite replay value as the last guy mentioned. Pretty easy to burn out.
I find Doom for me to have what the topic suggests somewhat.
The ones I find with none are most Nintendo games.
Then you two are taking things too literal. Just look at it as games with very high replay value. ie. My most played game is currently 1768H 58M 7S on X-Box version + 373H 29M 26S on PS3 version + 373H 29M 26S on PC version. Meaning it's replay value for me was above and beyond anything else I've ever played. Like, ever, ever. Close second is Shining Force 3 Scenario 1-3 coming at pretty close to 1000 hours I'm assuming.Quote:

Well, after playing it literal years since picking it up when it was still in Alpha, I've finally feel as though I've exhausted the replay value of the game for me. Now I cannot stand it for prolonged periods of time unless I find myself with someone else to play with or download a set of mods to change up the gameplay. The vanilla game has just become too stale for me.
Streets of Rage 2, Baku Baku Animal, Yoshi and Dr. Mario are all games I could play over and over, but there's only one game I've ever sat and played for 12 hours straight:
