Hmm, I'd pick Mickey Mania and Doraemon over most of these.
In terms of replay value and length I think it has to be Kid Chameleon or Rolo to the Rescue, but the controls aren't as good as in Mario (World) and they lack a save feature. I guess the sonics are the only reasonable alternatives if you want a similar experience.

I guess I'm going to have to go back to Doraemon again seeing as there seems to be some love for it, I tried it last year before That list I made but after an hour just thought it was awful and turned it off. I consistantly judge things too fast though so maybe it''l surprise me next time around.Quote:

I Enjoy castle of Illusion alot but I think The Genesis Wonderboy does a nice job too.
Kid Chameleon is superior even to some of those tosh Mario games on the SNES.

Haven't actually played any other than Tiny Yoons and Castle of illusion from that list. So I vote for Tiny toons. Played it quite a lot when I was a kid :)
I recall playing Tiny Toons a long time ago and thinking to myself how similar to Mario it was. I may be wrong though, considering I was, like, 7 at the time.

I don't like Super Mario, solid gameplay but too unappealing
to me. I just don't enjoy the whole style of it to the point, where
I don't like the game any more.
James Pond 3 is the only MD game I've played that's even remotely close to Super Mario World. I guess Kid Chameleon would be a distant second.

Maybe it does. But it also has more unique differences from Mario than the other games do. I guess Sonic just has "more," in general. :pQuote:
