Can you use a Model 1 Genesis AC adapter in the US on a Japanese Mega Drive? I would assume they are the same voltage and polarity but just wanted to make sure. Might pick up a M1 JDM Mega Drive but no cables etc. Also I assume the Mono AV cables are the same?
it should work both AC adapters on my US and JP MD had all the same numbers listed for volts and amps.
You can use any region AC brick or cables on any unit... just be sure to use a stepdown if you use US or JP brick in Europe or stepup if using EU brick in US or JP. All bricks give required output as long as they get correct input.
