A ROM selling scumbag

Some dude's been trying to sell CD-R discs of illegal ROM files with emulators and his ads keep getting yanked off craigslist. So he makes threats to anyone he can email, both legal and personal. Oh, I love his legal threats- claims that we are causing him to lose revenue. How he plans to sue anonymous CL people is anyone's best guess. Not to mention the selling of illegal software. Can someone sue the cops for the same if they're arrested for drug dealing?

Here's just one email this moron typed up, trying to intimidate me.

So... he claims he wrote the emulators(dubious), has patents(complete bullshit) and that it's only illegal if the companies directly complain(now he's just lying). He won't prove any of this. Funnier is that he has a habit of making public ads with personal threats of violence.

I also love how he insists it's legal because he's not charging money "for the games". He's selling emulators and ROMs for NES, SNES, Genesis as well as PS1 copies. Guess he won't touch modchip territory.

I've already forwarded his email to Nintendo's anti-piracy and another anti-piracy group. Maybe he'd liek to take this to court against peopel with deep pockets and the IP rights.

Google search didn't match his email, but did match a "studio_wolvy" at some social networking site for teens. Cincinnati area. Working on computers since the 70s? Please, more like born in the 80s. Some kid thinks he can put out CDRs and sell them for $10 each for quick cash, then whines when no one lets him.

Good job. I always report people like these. Perhaps it often leads nowhere, but to me it is still worth the effort.

Hopefully he gets what`s comming to him, I can`t stand people like that!
