They aren't... at least, not on my RetroGen. X/Y/Z are all the same size, and are smaller than A/B/C which are also all the same size. EDIT: looking at the video, you probably meant the Z and C buttons on the GenMobile, not the RetroGen. My guess is they want you to think of the A/B/X/Y buttons like the four button arrangements most other pads use, and the Z and C buttons as extras. It's not a bad way to look at it.
The GenMobile moved the speaker to where the RESET button is on the RetroGen, and moved the RESET button closer to the DPad as a result of that. As to the buttons being close on the RetroGen - you need all the parts pretty close to keep the size of the PCB down to keep costs low. That's probably why the GenMobile moved the speaker and RESET button - it probably made the PCB a little smaller, saving even more money.Quote:
also I thought on the retrogen the start button is pretty close to the main buttons, well the genmobile it looks even closer (as well as the rest button to the dpad) I dunno have the C and Z buttons bigger than the rest would kinda annoy me.
I'm happy I got the retrogen.
EDIT: I just pre-ordered the GenMobile (black version). Depending on how it turns out, I'll probably give one or the other to my brother.
