Crystal Clear Audio Mod for Sega Mega Drive 2 & Genesis 2, version 1.0

Ah, ok. I have some clips and the spectral analysis shows yellow points at about 17-18 Khz. Going to see a way of obtaining that frequency curve.

So will any members be making these borders to order, would be after one for an MD1 and MD2 console

I won't stop you from doing it.

If you're going to go through all the trouble of desoldering caps and soldering the board into place, it would probably make sense to just do it on your own.

Soldering i can do, reading circuitry diagrams i cant :(

Fair enough.

Right now I'm swamped with backlogged requests (waiting on parts from China that are slowly trickling in), but if you're still in the hunt when I get done, I'll see what I can do.

The big problem is whoever builds it will have to wire it up to test that it works, then unwire it, that's a lot of useless work. It would just be easier for you to learn how to read a schematic. If you're unsure about any part of the schematic tiido will be very helpful with explaining it. I just turned down a request to build a complete sony cxa2075 circuit because it seems kind of stupid to sell just a circuit. Having the circuit inside of a console with a strong case makes shipping easier. Building the circuit you have to wire it into something to test the circuit, so if the console is right there then you only need to wire the circuit up once.

I understand what your say, on a scale of 1 to 10 how hard is the circuit to build? If i had an idiots diagram on the circuit im confident i could make it with ease

I have made a diagram based on MEGADRIVE Jerois proto board layout of TmEEs CCAM circuit. I did this to help my planning of building the circuit, but wanted to share in case it helped anyone.

This is what im after a nice simple schematic, thanks mamejay. Question regarding the veroboard, the traces i take its best to just run solder on the veroboard first and then add the componets after you have laid out the traces with solder??

It's not about difficulty, it's about how patient you are to triple check every step to make sure you didn't make any mistakes.

So can this mod be carried out on a genesis 3 console?

If anyone is interested I am making CCAM pcb's. They are not professional but work great.
