Where I'm from, you can only have a learner's permit when you turn 16, then you have to wait six months before you're allowed to take the test. Takes the excitement out of turning 16, eh?
I'm glad I got mine when I did. I did wait 6 months to get mine (my choice), but all I had to do was spend like 40 hours behind the wheel, drive with my parents some, pass the test at the DMV and they just handed me a full drivers license.
No limits, restrictions, "learners permit only" type bullshit.
Driving is nice, but its not anywhere near as fun as you make it out to be as a kid.
I agree w/ Rusty. Driving isn't as fun as its made out to be.
over here in PA you have to be 16 for a Permit and than wait 6 monthsand have at least 20 hours driving experience before you get your license, if your 18 or older than you just need the permit.Quote:

I got my license at 17. I did get my permit at 16 but I could care less to get my license. I don't remember what I had to do to get my license, other than take the permit test, than drivers ed or the five hour course (I did diver ed), did the driving I was supposed to do... took my road test. Failed it the first time, had to take it again. Passed and got my license.
