Those are a few off the top of my head, do you guys have any ideas for newer stuff you would like to see?
Component cables using the Genny's RGB output would really kick ass for you guys in the US.
Personally, I'd like to see a custom upscanner ("line doubler" / "double scanner") that takes the 15kHz RGB signal and turns it into a 31kHz VGA signal. That would make the machine fully compatible with about any modern HDTV.
Component cables would be awesome, if they actually provided a better picture.

I'd love to see a good wireless pad, maybe with a receiver that fits into the Megadrive design,
with that i mean that the IR receiver has a mold that makes it blend in with the round front of the Sega,
so just something that you can click into the 2 joypad ports and that sits there.
And of course it would need a good 6 button Joypad, preferably something that looks like the SG Propad.
(which imo is the best pad ever, so comfortable to hold!)
I'm asking for this since the original wireless pads are hard to get,
and I'm sure these days a much better wireless pad can be created.
You'll never ever need a S-Video mod (or component cables). I am pretty sure you guys got RGB-SCART in Sweden. - Neither S-Video nor component could compete with RGB-SCART at all. Any cheapo CRT based SDTV will look 100% perfect via RGB-SCART, while the quality of S-Video or component does depend on the quality of the internal transcoder.Quote:

unfortunately I have no RGB to component setup experience yet, since I have no TV that has component inputs... I do have component to RGB experience :P
32X cables for model1 and model 2 32X systems as there are at least twice as many 32X systems as cables to go with them. A 1 piece model 1 cable would be awesome.
How about a dongle that links the Genesis' power supply plug to both the Genesis and 32X for those who own the Genesis and 32X, but not the Sega CD?
And if you guys make a Component video cable for the Genesis, I'll buy it in a flash.

Another custom accessory I'd've love to have seen is a "REAL" wireless controller. I know of the two that were made (I actually own them), but the truth is that they were as pioneering as they were ineffective. You really have so little vertical range that even with the press of a button you'll be completely away from the mark. Maybe get some of this new wireless technology on the XBOX 360 or the Wii translated into a genny wireless. That would be awesome.

HDTVs don't use any filters for their VGA or HDMI inputs so you'd get the best picture possible.
Micomsoft (Afterburner 2, XMD-2/3, XE-1AP) offers devices suitable for this task - like the XRGB3 http://www.micomsoft.co.jp/xrgb-3.htm - but with $410 (without shipping) they're rather expansive...
If I do a light gun it will probably look like a generic NES zapper. Reason being that a 3rd party mold already exists and it will save on price. I'm going to have to buy A LOT of these if I have them made, so it is important I'm able to sell them for a very affordable price. I feel that if the MSRP is over 15 bucks then this whole thing is a bust.
Something else to take into consideration with this is that most people can't use a light gun these days because of HDTVs. This has me a little worried as well. It will be a huge risk but I believe I can still make this venture worthwhile.

As for the light gun, they don't make one that works with rear-projection TVs do they?
I think it would be awesome to have Genesis guitar controllers and a homebrew game to go with it.
Yeah, Super Fighter Team could make a conversion of Pokemon Crazy Drummer with all the copyright infringement taken out. An instrument controller would go great with that game. Perhaps it would be better as a Sega-CD game though.Quote:
